I have the same problem. Heats fine for a 1 minute then 'click', and no more heat. If I turn it off and wait a few minutes, 'click' and it will blow heat again (for 1 minute...).
Link from Mike didn't help because this is an Electric heater, in an 'amish fireplace'.
I'm thinking it might be a faulty 'thermal fuse' or possibly the thermostat.
