Datid OV8 constant ticking

I have been using IKEA's Datid oven for about two years without any problem but now it constantly gives a funny ticking sound even if turned off (by knob). It quits only if I power off (with safety switch). Is it dangerous? Did anybody experience similar?

it sounds like it burnt one of your main wires in the back of range. by turning a knob on you are getting a feed back. turn the power off remove back panel take a visual check of your wiring.

SOURCE: oven light

This is done to regulate the temperature. Higher heat settings will let the element stay on longer, while lower settings will turn it off sooner. Even on high, the elements may turn off periodically because there is a switch called a temperature limiter. Its job is to keep the element from overheating.

My wall oven is making a constant unusual noise

Without a model number its hard to be exact. If your oven is older it will have a clock timer motor that turns the dials or flips the clock display cards. This timer has gears and bushings that will be annoying as they wear and start a vibrating hum or clicking-usually not worth tinkering with..it can be taken out and checked or replaced. Electronic timers of course don't have any moving parts to the timer, but have relays in the circuit to turn the oven on and off. They do not 'whir'. This is the likely issue.

I'm so tired of this! Everything I bake is overcooked/burnt on outside and not cooked on inside. IE..banana bread, cookies, muffins. I have two gauges that are telling me that the temperature is correct. I...

The cheapest would be to go buy an oven thermometer. A couple of dollars. Set oven at 350. Put thermometer on the oven rack. Put in a cake pan, etc with water in it. Let be 15-30 minutes. Then read the thermometer. You can tell by how much it is off.
Really, what might have to be replaced is the thermostat. That constantly trying to kick in would be the ticking noise.

Ge double oven

I believe this is because it takes a while for your oven to cool down (the cleaning cycle uses a very high temperature to burn up the grease and food). The timer is how long it takes before it will be cool, at which time the oven will unlock.
