You have to edit the metadata on the file before you put in mp3 player.

All of my songs changed to author unknown how do I change it back?

Plug into computer and choose open as folder file. You can simply change the names on the folders. It happens alot when you download songs that don't have artist in the properties of the file. You can also go into the folders and change the titles of the songs when they're wacky,mis-named,or mis-spelled, or just too long.

Problem with my sansa e200

The issue you have described with your portable device in most cases can be resolved by formatting your device. Please follow these steps even if you have already attempted them once before.

Please note that this will remove all music from your device.

Formatting the device in Windows Media Player

1. Open Windows Media Player with your MP3 player connected to the computer

2. At the top of windows Media Player select the Sync tab at the top

3. The MP3 player should be recognized on the right hand side and say "Your Player Name"

4. Above the player name is a button that says "Format Storage Media" click this button to erase all the data from the player

5. Continue with the acknowledgement of erasing all data on disk.

Putting music in seperate folders

Hm, Tricky. Are they un-named in the Unknown artists folder? I know what you're talking about though.. Maybe if you try putting them in the correct folders in your computers Music folder. Like.. All the 28 days later songs go into the 28 days later soundtrack folder (If you don't have one, it's easy to make a folder for stuff.) When you open up your music space of your computer, the part where it says File and Folder Tasks. First thing it says in this box is, Make a New Folder. Easy. So, you make a new folder and place all the music for that cd in it. (If it already isn't) Then make sure they all have the correct artist name and stuff.. Any way.. I hope this helps, but I can barely understand it.. Any way..

Samsung YPK5

I assume this is in a PC? Simply right click each title whilst in the PC and click on 'Rename' Or click file/save as/and give the file a name This incidently will leave an un-named copy on the computer
