If you get the machine upside down (switched off) you will find a hole near the steam knob which allows access to a screw. Turn this screw with a flat bladed screwdriver and the knob will come off. this may allow you to see what's wrong. The machine is stongly built so it seems unlikely that it has snapped.

Rig wand! you mean steam wand?
Take lid off and see if the knob clib connection to the steam valve is come out. Otherwise, possibly the steam valve's portioning washer is hardened and stuck. BUt sound slike shaft is broken or lost connection to the valve

The problem is with the two O ring which are on the steam knob srew. So you need to disasemble the steam knob srew by turning it all the way reverse. On the srew axis you will find two O rings which must replace. You can fint easy replacements O ring from DIY shop they usuly have O ring kits with diferent sizes so take one with youto match it with that of the shop.

I am trying to repair the machine and I could not remove the steam lever from the casing. Can anyone tell me how to remove the steam lever from the machine?? Your help is greatly...

It is possible but not easy. step 1: pull the lever along its rotation axis. I suggest to do so by inserting two blades between the lever hub and the shiny ring that connects it to the machine body. Twist the blades to slide the lever out (be careful no to hurt yourself). step 2: unscrew the front panel and use spanners to unscrew the (copper-colored) steam lever axis from the (silver-coloured) boiler tank.
Ask yourself if you really need to remove the steam lever. If it is just the water flow that is blocked, try unscrewing the exit filter first and descaling it, because it is hard to remove the steam lever without breaking the machine (it happened to me: I damaged the coil).

The side dial came out and wont go back in

There are alignment pins on the steam valve and inside the knob. Line them up and push hard on the knob and it will snap back in.

I am searching for a front load kitchen aid washer and cant seem to find any... did they stop making them?

Whirlpool is now making their own Duet models and the Maytag front load machines and the Kenmore He2 2t and 3t and 3t steam and the 5 with steam washers.

KitchenAid is high end Whirlpool. Haven't seen them around lately but they just might be harder to find.

My Saeco Incantata steam knob just popped out!

If you look closely at the knob you will notice that one of the notches is wider than the other, just make sure it is lined up and it should snap onto the tap rod.

Incanto Cappacino I was descaling my automatic machine for the 1st time. It had already started when I realised that it was not on the right setting ie. was on steam setting. I stopped the machine and...

Fill the water tank with water, open the steam knob and when the water comes out, take off the water tank and let the machine go to it stop.
Close the steam knob and put back the water tank.
Open the steam knob again to get out the air in the system.

Hope this will help you.

Ah ha! I just fixed the problem.

The black steam knob is bonded to the shaft. The shaft/knob assembly is removed by rotating the spring keeper on the brass housing the shaft fits into by 90 degrees to allow the shaft to be pulled out once the knob is rotated enough to disengage its thread from the brass housing.

Once the cover over the boiler is removed you will see three thermostats mounted on top of the boiler.

The middle one has the reset button located between the two power connectors. Push it down and you will hear a metallic snap as it resets.

I now have a working La Pavoni Pisa Espresso Machine again and it was free to fix it!

Wooo Hooo!!!
