Why does my serpentine belt keep breaking?

It sounds to me like one of the belt-driven accessories is stopping. Remove the belt and turn all of the accessory pulleys by hand, both slowly and quickly, in both directions. Any that does not turn smoothly, quietly and easily is suspect and that accessory should either be replaced entirely or have its bearings replaced (if practical). In my experience, the most common accessory to cause this problem is the power steering pump, but it could be any of them.

IF BELT WAS REPLACED RIGHT THERE IS NO NEED TO ADJUST TIMING, MAYBE YOUR BELT IS ONE TOOTH OFF, BE CAREFUL THIS ALSO CHANGES VALVE TIMING, YOU CAN BLOW ENGINE!!!

My ac belt ripped straight across like a violent rip. The tensioner was not smooth but noisey when i turned it by hand but it did turn. I am replacing belt and tensioner and would like to know if there is...

Hello: If the tension is noisy the its possible that it locked up and that broke the belt. Do not replace the belt unless you replace the tensioner. Are any of the other pulleys noisy when you turn them by hand? IE; alternator, water pump??

I got an oil change and they told me i need 2 sepentine belts changed cause they both are cracked. how serious is this and do i need to replace the serpentine belts right away?????? they wanted to charge...

if the belt is cracked and missing pieces replace them as soon as posible. if it is only cracking you should change it soon. This is a common practice at all shops to upsell a service but that does not mean they are ripping you off. they are trying to fix all the problems they can on your vehicle. IF EVER IN DOUBT ASK TO SEE THE REPLACED PART AS SOON AS THE SERVICE HAS ENDED. if you look and act like you care about what is happening to your car you are less likely to get ripped off. 119 is a good price. my shop would have charged you 160 plus tax.

En toshiba e-3511 sale codido de error CEE0

CEE0: Transfer belt position detection abnormality (normal speed):
The home position of the transfer belt cannot be detected.

This likely means that your transfer belt has gotten ripped. There are reflective strips on the transfer belt that tell the copier what position the entire belt is in before copying, and when the transfer belt gets ripped it causes the machine to not be able to find these strips.

You will need to replace the transfer belt and it would be a good idea to change the belt cleaning blade as well.

Wouldnt start like battery was dead belt was squeeling when popped clutch to start drove 8 blocks and belt ripped off

Not much detail but sounds like the battery was dead... Probably due to the worn drive belt which was likely slipping and failing to charge prior to it ripping off!

Replace the belt and get somone with a volt meter to check the charging system.

2000 Diamante, Timing Belt ? Loud pop, explosion, bang...

sounds like the belt tensioner. look for any drive pulley that doesn't actually drive anything but is turned by the belt... that is spring loaded and keeps tension on the belt... if it moves freely... it needs to be replaced.
