Question about Computers & Internet
Try admin for the user name and no password, or no user name and admin for the password. also, try a hard reset by holding reset button on back for 30 seconds w/ router disconnected. This will wipe any settings you had saved. But it will set everything back to default. You could also download the manual for that model of router to find out the default username/password. Good Luck.

You reset the D-Link back to the factory default by - Press the RESET button at the back of the wireless router when it is powered up. Holt the RESET button foe at least 5 secs until the LEDs flash and then release the RESET button.
You can then configure the D-Link as follows ;-
To set-up and secure the wireless router from unauthorized access, follow these steps: -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address.
3. Enter the router setup, login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.

SOURCE: i forgot the password of
Can you not get on the wifi itself or you can't login to the router? If you can't get onto the wireless, then you need to get into the router config page. Plug in an ethernet cable from the router to your laptop and that will allow you to connect to the network so you can login. Open a browser and type in the address bar "192.168.1.1" (this is the default address for the router unless you changed it). Then you need to login.....
Most D-Link routers have a default username of "admin" and a default password of either "admin" or simply blank (no password). Try those and see if you can get in.
If you can't login with those credentials you can reset it. There should be a reset button on the back of it. You would most likely need a paperclip or pencil tip (something small) to stick in there to press it. Hold down the reset button for about 30 seconds and that will reset all the setting back to factory defaults as though you had just bought it. Then the above passwords should work. (note- this would wipe out ALL settings so you would need to setup your wifi and everything else again).
If this was a help please give me 4 thumbs up as I am trying to build up my rep on this site!

When your phone asks for the password, out in the Encryption key. If you didn't print this out when you installed the router, insert the CD and install the Easylink Advisor, which wil then show up down in your taskbar in the bottom right corner of your screen. Open it, click on the Support tab, and it will show all your settings. For the password requested on your smartphone, enter the encryption key from your settings in EasyLink Advisor. That did it for me. Good luck!
