SOURCE: snow plow wont turn right
To turn Left you need two cylenders. I think you only have one. Any one cylender will have three wires and a ground. The ground is always connected to the vehicle ground. The other two to the Single pole double throw switch. TOne wire and a ground runs the pump one way, the other wire and the ground runs the pump the opposit direction. For left and right you must have a similar pump, motor and wiring.

I would check the hand control box it sounds to me like an electrical problem, if you know a dealer, plug in a new control box, this should narrow it down.

Turn signals flashing is the confirmation of alarm system being on.I thought both sides flashed but if alarm is faulty guess that's messed up too. Try starting from stratch with alarm, disarm it[disconnect neg wire at battery]then reconnect wire and when that sets off alarm turn it off in normal way. That should get things back on track.Plus, try replacing the flasher unit, don't know why this works but I've heard of it.
