How do I replace the belt on my dysonDC14

Hi Margaret,

If your DC14 is a model without brush control, please follow this online guide to check everything is correct with the brushbar, and to replace the belt:

http://support.dyson.co.uk/support/dc14/dc14-origin-iron/my-machine-is-not-working/i-can-see-something-wrong-visual/i-can-see-something-wrong-visual/my-brushbar-is-not-rotating1/soleplate-removal

However, if your machine is a model with the brush control feature, you won't be able to replace the belt yourself. If your machine has brush control and the brushbar is not rotating, please follow this guide to resolve this:

Hi. I bought a Behringer Dynamic Microphone XM8500 but I don't know how to install it. It's not working but probably because I'm doing something wrong. It's my first microphone. Do I need a mixer? Does the...

the type of mic input built into a pc (with a mini-jack socket) will not accept the output of a pro dynamic mic such as the one you have - it won't work correctly. You require a pre-amp or mixer - or what would be better for you would be an audio interface with a built in pre-amp such as this:

interface example.

Controller not working : helmet functions perfectly

1.) make sure the helmet is switched to "ON" not "Demo"
2.) if the toy stops working, try pressing the yellow button directly above the playskool logo on the helmet.

The toy uses a simple IR light to communicate between the controller and the helmet, and any controller will work with any helmet. Make sure the light and the receiver in the helmet (front, middle under the lip in line with the playskool logo) have an unobstructed view of one another.

Hope this helps.

Logitech quickcam

I had this problem on my laptop when I first got my quickcam. Go to the quickcam menu (should be a slim vertical bar). Click on the "gears" and then the microphone. At the top, it should offer a choice of microphones (maybe it says "quickcam" or "logitech" and "realtek"). You need to choose the "logitech" or "quickcam" option.

This fixed it for me, but it often switches back to the other one, so I frequently have to do this again...and sometimes restart everything once I do it.

Hope that works for you.

If you are using skype, go to the upper left hand top and click on call. Then click on audio settings and make sure your microphone is listed as the mike to use in the window of the drop down menu. It should say logitech something in the window that says microphone.
