Question about Hawk 24hp Self Propelled Honda Stump Grinder ES

1 Answer

Honda self propelled difficult to start on first job each day. Attempt to pull start about 12 times, won't go. Rest the mower for ten minutes, then pull start a few more times and mower usually starts

Mower only a few months old, slowly became harder and harder to start. Once it fires up in the morning with difficulty it goes all day and starts first go for the rest of the day. Not sure what the prob is ?

Look for a priming bulb on the carb or nearby. Have a can of ether available. Seems the choke may not be working, some are automatic, some manual.

How to tight my drivimg belt in my push mower honda

The model shown 11A-034F200 is not a self propel mower. Now if you have a self propel mower, most of the time, the only way is either replace the belt or there may be a spring. I will not be able to tell you further without the proper model number.
Good Day.

Did you check the oil before you ran it. They usually come dry and you have to but oil in before running. Sounds like motor might be blown.

Honda lawn mower, self propelled mechanism not working

check the mechanism first before changing the gearbox its possible that the cable might jump out from the pulley or the cable is worn out or its possible that the gear on the tire is worn out to if not then that would be the time for you to change the gear box it would be hard to change it if you don't have the right tools to work on it if you know how everything work its not that hard to replace it just make sure were everything goes memorize the parts before disassembling cause that would be you guide to reassemble it...goodluck

Continuously stalling and extreme difficulty restarting.

The brass "Bolt" that holds the "cup" on the bottom of your carburetor is also the main fuel metering jet for the engine. Get yourself a can of automotive carb cleaner, the aerosol type that comes with the small red plastic tube on the side of the can. Remove the "Bolt" and "cup". (Tip: tilt the carb side of the mower UP about 45 degrees and support it with whatever you have, wood, bricks etc. This will help stem the flow of gas from the tank while you have the "cup" removed.) Examine the "Bolt" and you will see one or two small holes in the side of the "Bolt" between the hex head and the threads. These are the metering orifices. Use the carb cleaner to throughly clean the "Bolt" orifices. (Tip: DO NOT attempt to 'drill' the orifices clean) Next, use the red plastic tube to spray carb cleaner up through the hole on the carburetor that the "Bolt" screws into. Be liberal with the cleaner. Finally, clean the "cup" with the spray one more time for good measure. Put everything back together. (Tip: easy does it on tightining the "Bolt") Level the mower, check for leaks and verify the oil level is OK. If the plug and air filter are up to snuff you should be good to go. (Tip: how old is your fuel? You should keep it around for only about 30 days unless you use fuel stabilizer. These little engines LOVE fresh fuel) Good Luck.
