I fixed the pilot light by taking off the cover to expose the gas lines going from the knob to the pilot light fitting --I shut of the gas then disconnected the gas lines blew air in the lines to clean out any matter that might have been blocking the gas from getting to the pilot light re connected the lines and fired up my heater it is working great ---hope this can help some one with the same problem
