The best way to erase all your pics at one time is to format the memory card. In fact, the memory card should be formatted each time you finish downloading the pics to your computer. Formatting not only erases the pics but also cleans up the directory structure and file information. FixYa is full of people asking how to retrieve pics from memory cards that haven't been formatted recently.
Bring up your contacts card, change the preferences 'default account' to whatever else you have there (just check it -google, etc) then back to Palm Profile, then throw card away.. should work after that. But know, that it'll probably still happen intermittently. Best thing is to do a backup (BACKUP icon in your Launcher menu - just so you're current) then do a FULL ERASE. DEVICE INFO icon in your Launcher and follow directions for a FULL ERASE. Then when your phone reboots, it'll ask to sign in to your palm profile to get all of your data back. If you have pics, etc, they will be erased so if you need them, hook your phone to your computer and drag anything you might need before you do the Full Erase.
Several things can cause this.
1. Low battery
2. Memory card almost full
3. "cheap" memory card...too slow at writing data
4. Card hasn't been formatted in the camera for a long time. This will erase it so download any pics to your computer first.
As long as the xD card was not formatted it is possible to recover the images that were accidently erased, lost or corrupted. You can go to the following website link and download an image recovery software program that is free of charge. http://www.z-a-recovery.com/ You want to download a program called Zero Assumption Recovery. It is a very simple program to use and many people have had much success in recovering lost images.
Data recovery is a booming industry, and many appropriate services and software can be found by searching regional phone and business directories or the Internet for terms such as "image recovery" or "data recovery".
Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to Setup- right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the card and it can be used again.
