Question about Dell Latitude C640 Notebook
I pinpointed the reason my Dell Latitude C640 would not power on all of a sudden, as well as turning off in the middle of things, to a loose connection on the adapter cord where there is a piece that seems to connect the two parts. (caused by my pulling the adapter probably). So even though the green light is on, but there is actually no connection. It turns on when I fiddle with the cord in thst area and I have been using my computer this way
I would appreciate knowing if this is a simple problem that I can correct without going to an electrician.
Thank you very much.
The connector can be replaced, an electronic repairer can do this for you.

i have 2 c640 motherboards ..with alomost the same..
one shuts down random , even after 20 seconds
the other is dead , dead dead
i think it's a resistant problem ,the u45 underneath the motherboard
if you type on the internet for :
you will find you are not the only one
there are technicians who can do the job..
but you have to take apart the whole laptop..
