Usually there are two tabs to unlock the tray so it will come out. Look for "Arrows" or "Markings" that show how to proceed....

SOURCE: Kodak 5300 color ink error

OK so i found some new information that should solve the problem. The version of firmware you originally had on the printer when you changed the ink cartridge was bad. There is a known issue that when you put in a new ink cartridge when the printer is in the error state "COLOR INK CARTRIDGE2.gif EMPTY. REPLACE COLOR INK CARTRIDGE" the unit writes that value to the new ink cartridge so you will continue to have that error. So to fix your problem First Remove the ink cartridges and download and install the new Firmware. Then sadly you have to go get another new ink tank and install it.

If you can get through to kodak you should request reimburstment of some sort like a free set of ink tanks.

SOURCE: kodak #G600 printer dock/roller won't pull paper through

I read this solution to a problem someone else was having which was similar to my problem. I wiped off the roller with a damp cloth, made sure it was dry and that's all it took to allow the roller to be able to start to pull the paper through. - thanks for the help!

SOURCE: reset chip kodak esp 7 ink cartridge

Kodak printer works with genuine Kodak cartridges and that too brand new not refilled cartridges. The brand new cartridges have a certain code that is recognised by the Printer.Kindly buy genuine cartridges as the printer may be damaged by Non comaptible cartridges.

SOURCE: Kodak ESP 3250. Error 3527. I put new ink

Contact Kodak. I think it's the batch of printers that were made around this time. I just contacted them (mine is the same age and I'm getting the same error), and they are sending me a new printer.

How do you fix a printhead carrriage jam if you cannot see any obstruction? There is error message on screen but when lifting access door the printhead carriage does not move. I cannot move it manual

I have a Kodak 9200 that did the same thing,it parked the printer head and cartridges to the left under the one place you do not have access to,I always try to fix something that is already broke,I could not get the printer head out so I unplugged the printer and I cut off the plastic cover with a heavy pair of tin snips, then I removed the ink cartridges then I pushed the ink pad at the bottem back, this released the printer head, then I took Q-tips and cleaned the area below and around this area ,I removed an unbelieveable amount of thick sticky ink, clean the sides where the ink pad goes in and out, they stick because of the gummy ink and once clean it should work for a long time,I would recommend this printer if they made this part accessable, once you close the lid the cut out cannot be seen.

Print head jam

Check the LCD on your printer control panel or the status monitor on your computer for an error message. If there is an error message, follow the instructions to clear it.

If there is no error message, or if the problem continues:

  1. Open the access door.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter from the back of the printer.
  3. CAUTION: Do not use force on the printhead carriage to move it. Gently move the printhead carriage from side to side to see that it moves freely and there are no obstructions.
  4. Remove any obstructions that may prevent the printhead carriage and ink cartridges from moving to the center position.
  5. Close the access door.
  6. Connect the power adapter to the printer.
  7. Remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
  8. Verify that the labels on the ink cartridges are intact, and that the cartridges are not damaged.
  9. firmly until you hear it click into position.

  10. Insert the color ink cartridge into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear it click into position.

  11. Close the printer access door.
  12. Press OK to clear the error.

Printer says there is a paper jam and there is no paper in there.

first thing you need to do is will do the overriding the error

1. open the pritner access door fo the printer
2. if the printhead or ink cartirdges already in center remove the ink cartridges and the printhead
3. If the printhead already removed close printer access door., Turn Off the pritner then after 10sex turn It own.

4. Now your pritner should detect no printhead installed not paper Jam., If you still recieved paper jam error without the pritnhead installed you need to have a printer replacement call kodak toll free number 1 800 421 6699 ext 05

5. Now if the message is pritnhead not installed., reseat the printhead and the ink cartordges then close the pritner access door., If your ecived same message paper jam., You need to replace the printhead you may also call kodak 1 800 421 6699, and have your free printhead replacement.

Most of the time overriding the error message solve the problem

I have just unbloked a paper jam on my kodak esp3 priner.. now wen it goes to print the ink thing goes from left to right makes a horible noise and stops... its wont go back to the left :S:S

f you have tried the Kodak standard instructions for clearing the paper jam problem and it did not help try the procedure below. Works for esp 7.
1. Open the printing area of the printer (containing the ink cartridges).
2. The Ink cartridge holder should be to right side of track.
3. Look on left side, below the track for the cartridge that is used to
clean the print heads. It can be identified by a square black pad
approx. 1" sqaure that appears to be made of "felt".
If it is visible this is most likely your problem.
4. To correct problem locate the flat latching lever approx. 3/4" wide that
sticks up about 1/2" above the cartridge. It is locacted just behind
the "felt" square. Gently push lever toward rear which should free the
cleaning cartridge and allow the entir cartridge to move slightly
backward.
5. Close the top of the printer and cycle the printer off and back on.
If this is the problem, the "paper jam" error will now be gone.
This is such a simple fix I do not know why kodak does not inform
customers of this problem and how to fix it.
