Question about Sharp LC70LE633U 70" inch LED HDTV 1080P Wifi Ready
I get a short flash and then a long flash from the power light in the middle of the set, and then it repeats. If I'm reading it correctly, the Service manual says the problem as "Lamp Error". I've ran into 2 other people with the same problem so I'm wondering if there is a common problem/fix for this?
How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. Testimonial: "As stated in the initial problem, the blinking code is a short flash, a long flash, and then repeat indefinitely. The corresponding fault code is "Lamp Error". Since I've heard of two other TV's with the exact problem, I'm wondering if a tech out there has actually repaired this fault and what's needed for the repair."
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: I own a Sharp Aquos
there is a problem with the power supply. most likely too much ripple that is ac leaking into the dc. I have seen the power supply repaired but it is not always possible. If there is an obvious swelled capacitor on the power supply that can be replaced this will be the best bet for repair. If there is nothing visually obvious then it gets a little harder since you won't really know which component is not working, the tv shuts down on a protection circuit so if the power supply can be repaired and the voltage "cleaned up" then the tv could work again. I have also seen replacement power supplys sold.
