Question about Proform 625 Front Roller Model Pftl62510

1 Answer

I have a Proform 625 treadmill that I had to move. I unplugged the unit, slid it to where I needed it to go and plugged it back in. When I did so, the console powers on, but the display flickers and the lights around the LED track light up randomly. When I insert the key, nothing happens. I have tried unplugging and replugging and I have cheked to make sure that the circuit breaker is on. I havn't seen any other info. describing this problem anywhere, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated :)

You can try the following:
a. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor
is plugged into a properly grounded outlet (see page 9). Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor
that meets all of the specifications described on page 9. Important: The treadmill is not compatible
with GFCI-equipped outlets.
b. After the power cord has been plugged in, make sure that the key is fully inserted into the console.
c. Check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill
near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as
shown, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset the
circuit breaker, wait for five minutes and then press
the switch back in.
d. Check the on/off switch located on the treadmill near
the power cord. The switch must be in the on posi-
tion

SOURCE: belt won't move

does is just not move when you're standing on it, or not even move when you're not standing on it. It may be a simple belt adjustment or if the motor is running but there's no track movement you may be looking at a loose/broken drive belt. Take the cover off, start it up and look at the motor/drive pulley assembly. If the motor turns and the front roller doesn't, tension the drive motor by moving it back. If the front roller turns but the track doesnt, do a track adjustment as per your users manual.

Proform tredmill starts runs 10 sec and beeps twice and stops

I would suggest unplugging the unit from the wall and waiting 30 second and plugging it back in. Then go to where the AC cord enters the machine and look for a reset button or switch. Put it in the reset position and see if this solves the problem. Depending on model the reset may be on the bottom of console.

Proform crosswalk, the walking belt will not go no matter what speed its turned to. It will move if i pull it and register speed on console but will not go by itself.

If the console takes batteries, replace them. If this does not work or your console does not require batteries, check the reed switch or optic sensor. Reed Switch: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The reed switch is mounted on the frame next to the front roller pulley. There is a magnet glued into the front roller pulley. When adjusting the reed switch, make sure it is pointing directly at the magnet. Move the tip of the reed switch within 1/8" of the magnet. Also, check to see that the wire is not damaged, and is connected to the console.
Optic Sensor: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The optic disk and sensor are located either at the end of the motor or the right hand side of the front roller. The optic disk spins between two sensors on the optic switch. The disk must spin freely without touching either sensor. The sensors can be moved by loosening the adjustment bolt holding the switch to its bracket. The switch can then be slid. Center the disk. 11_15_2011_8_35_57_am.gif11_15_2011_8_36_26_am.gif

Incline goes up and down constantly. Console doesn't work

It sounds like it's in calibration mode and you need to let it go all the way up and then down and set itself. If you have done that and it keeps going into that mode then you probably pulled or moved some wiring while moving it.

Treadmill will not maintain the correct speed.

You can get a book by calling 1-800-999-3756. The treadmill you are usine in a cheaper model. the motors on those units are not that strong. when you incline your unit gravity make the belt move faster. Remember incline put a lot of pressure on you lower spine. This can cause injury for some.
