Our f2546 baseboard heater doesnt want to start, why?

Did it used to work before? If so, then test to see if you have power in the heater. Do the following:
1. Turn off the circuit breaker that feeds the heater.
2. Open the panel of the heater to expose the incoming wires that feed the heater.
3, Turn on the circuit breaker, and check to see if you have power using a voltage tester.
If you have power at the heater, and the thermostat is set on high, but you still don't have heat, replace the entire heater. The problem could be something little (like a defective thermostat), but why take a chance. Electrical malfunctions could cause fires.

How to install a Water heater

Step one removal of the old one start's with turning the power source and water off to the water heater.
Once power and water is off connect a water hose to the drain on bottom of water heater to start draining. Open the drain and the hot side to a faucet to help water drain quicker.
Once drained and new heater their to go back in. Remove old one and reinstall new one.
Connect wires and water lines to new heater and turn water on first to heater once everything is connected.
Let water run til you get all the air out of tank and water running from hot side on all faucet's throughout house before turning power on to heater.

Disconnected the baseboard heater - turned power back on - no power

If the breaker (you mean from the main board?) is turning off there is a line fault or short somewhere. If the breaker is not kicked off then there is a loose connection or maybe a small blown fuse in the base board heater unit itself.

The red light/heat won't come on when I turn the heater knob. The breaker is not tripped and I have power.

You may have a burned out heater element. These can be checked with a volt/ohm meter with the power turned off and the wires to the element disconnected. They are easy to replace, but be careful and make darn sure the power is off when you stick your hands inside these heaters. If the element is good, you could also have a bad contactor. If you are comfortable with using a meter and understand current flow, it is quite easy to check with the power on. Where the power stops is where your problem is. Just be very careful, you are playing "you bet your life" when poking around inside the heater with the power on.

How to de-lime the water heater?

you need to pump cheap vinagar through it for 15 min. This means that you need to turn off the power and isolate the water heater from the rest of your plumbing. When you are done you need to flush the heater with water before turning the power back on.

Honeywell Surround HZ2200 / HZ2204 /

A link to an Adobe (Acrobat) Reader format (.pdf) owner's manual for Honeywell® (Mini Tower) SURROUND HEAT™ HEATER FAN Models HZ-2200 (charcoal) and HZ-2204 (white) is here.

Some text from the manual:

• The Surround Heat™ Heater is designed to
disperse heat in either a 360° range or in one direction only.
• To select the desired heating mode, slide the Direction Control switch, located
on the top of the heater, to the position of your choice:
– to the right (full circle) for 360° Heating
– to the left (half circle) for forward only heating (One Direction

Select the appropriate heat dispersion mode. (See
Set-Up instructions.)
• With the Power knob in the OFF position, plug the
heater into a polarized 120V outlet.
• Turn the Thermostat control fully clockwise to the
HIGH setting.
• Turn the heater on using the Child Resistant switch
(Power knob). To operate the switch, push down
the two sides of the Power knob while turning it
clockwise to the desired position. The power
light will illuminate. The Child Resistant switch helps
ensure that the heater can not be turned on accidentally.
• When the room reaches a comfortable temperature, slowly turn the Thermostat
control counter-clockwise until the heater goes off. This is the point at which the
Thermostat setting equals the room temperature. At this setting, the Thermostat
will automatically turn the heater on and off to maintain this selected temperature.
• Push down and turn the Power knob to OFF and unplug the heater when you
are finished using it.
