Hi
Sorry cant solve that prob. But have similiar prob. My friend has a Asus P5S800-VM when she plugs it in and turns the kill switch on the green light comes on it dosent flash just stays on fans dont come on, the other power on switches wont turn on. We had a look and noticed the Pwr-sw, Power-Led and the HDD-Led 2 pin cables werent plugged in. Dont no if it has always been like that. Would that be the prob. We saw where they might plug in but have no idea which 1 goes where as the colour combs dont match. Also they r on the other side of the motherboard far from the power supply. Sorry cant help but it similiar to your prob thought maybe someone might have some idea. If anyone has time that would be fab 2 get some feed back...Thanks Heaps

First of all what exactly do you mean by "changed the CPU"? If its the processor? Is only the display not working, since you have said that the fan runs, it means the PC is starting. Check the Keyboard & mouse PS2 jacks. If there is any bent pins in the jacks? If so gently straighten with a pair of tweezers. Also try using a working Keyboard & Mouse from any other PC. If that still does not work, do you see the led lighting up on the MB? Does the MB make beeping sounds? How many? ALso mention the processor you have so that we may be able to help...............sodeep

Motherboard starts but no signal in the monitor

Hello here is the cpu list:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P4i45G/?cat=CPU

Other cpu`s than them on the list, does not fit the mainboard.
This will cause the mainboard not to boot up, when the cpu is wrong.
The (wrong) cpu will fit the socket, but it does not fit the cache size, fsb, and so on.

Look also in the manual:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P4i45G/?cat=Manual

The problem could also be the power supply failing, try to change that.

Did it boot up before you changed the cpu ???
Any beep codes ??

Look also at this page:

Good luck

Sir kindly resolved my issue

BIOS? well try to reset your system by exchanging your RAM slots. It simply means that your cpu is not booting up right or frozen. Try to unplug and plug back on expansion cards also. If the cpu is working but there's no display, try to remove the video card if u have and place it back again. Keep me posted with your feedback or comment.

Problem Regarding Booting

due to the increase in temperature inside the cpu for the protection of the motherboard and components it might not be getting started ..

this happens if the processor fan is not running properly or if it stucked due to some dust or obstacles ...

try cleaning it after separating heat sink and processor ....

after refitting the processor trying booting it should work ....

if needed replace the processor fan ..

No boot, continuous Beep

I would take the CPU back out. Remove the excess thermal compound, you should only use a very thin layer. Make sure the CPU is oriented and seated properly.

MOTHERBOARD

That is your computer trying to boot from your network adapter.

Check in the bios the boot order.

Set it to
  1. CD/DVD Rom
  2. IDE0
  3. IDE1 or whatever you want.
Also check the first page to see if it has actually found your hard drive and cdrom. If not check the cables are connected. If they are both on the same cable then check the jumpers on the drives to make sure you have them set as Master (hard drive) and slave (cdrom) or both set to cable select.

Asrock P4i45gv motherboard problem

it sounds as though your cmos chip is damaged; if you are unable to get as far as the bios when pressing F2 or Del on boot up, then you may need to replace the motherboard. Also reseat your memory as that is another cause and check the Cr2032 cmos disc shaped battery as this may be flat and the original cause of constant reboot cycle. Lastly this also happens if you have changed any hardwre in your pc as windows will not boot if there have been major changes to hardware and windows will have to be repaired using your XPcdrom.
