Comcast put in a new hd box and now we cant get the remote to work to change the channel we have to trun off at tv on the side

I'm assuming you got a new remote with the cable/sat box. These remotes can act as universal remotes but must have a code input that will operate your particular brand of TV. This should allow for turning the TV on and off and controlling the volume if you are using the TV speakers. You should also check that the correct button has been pushed on the remote to operate the channel selection on your cable/sat box. There should have been a user manual given to you with the new cable/sat box that will detail the process for finding and inputting the code and other troubleshooting. You may also find answers on the cable/sat provider's website. Good luck.

The bootlid on my 2003 magna AWD will not close after having a problem with the remote, how can this be fixed? Anyone please?

probably would be a idea to remove the carpet cover that hides the cable that releases the boot. if you lay the rear seats down you can look into the boot from the rear seats of the car. the problem may be in the cable that normally dosent get used until there is a issue with the remote on the key. before going to the test run via the rear seats and having some one shut the boot while watching its operation. check where the cable attaches to the latch and get some one to operate the manual cable that is located in the glove box . check that it has full travel and isn't broken or something hasn't fallen into its way of travel. lubricate with lithum grease the moving parts of the mechanism. manually operate the latch by hand then try to shut the boot. but with the panel off and the mechanism exposed some one using the cable in the glove box and you viewing its operation it should become clearer what the issue is

KIA K2900 won't go into 1st, 3rd and 5th gear

. If the box has been performing as expected and this has just started ( manual box ) I would be checking the gear selector either on the side of the box -- in the selector levers or in the cable operation. As the movement for all three gears is in a forward direction and you may have a cable operation to select the gears check the cable for failure. It the selection is at the base of a steering column then check for failed bushes and if it is a top mounted lever directly into the gear box then check that the pin that pivots the gear lever is tight and not worn. I am reasonable confident that the problem is in the selection mechanism and not in the box proper.

There is no cable jack for me to put my cable cord into.. just a hdmi, rgb, 2 componets and 2avi's. So how do I watch tv without buying a cable box. I've basic cable and we have a box in one room while the...

You can ask you cable operator to give you a box that has ether hdmi or RGB compsit outputs simple as that. I just do not see why this does not have a tuner in it I am kinda worndering if this just is not a monitor but can you please leave me the model number.

But you can hook it up to RGB or hdmi you just need to ask your cable operator for that type of box simple as that.

How do I switch my TV from analog to digital? And how do I find what digital frequency my cable box operates on?

If you have a cable box then you don't do the switch in the tv, you do it in the box. If the box isn't a digital model then you must replace it.
BTW the digital channels operate on the same frequencies as the normal ones, to find them just do a channel scan.

REMOTE OPERATION

Looks like a common frequency and coding problem. Try to keep the TV and Cable box far away and try the remote. If it works, then, escalate to Cable operator for providing a new box with remote or ask for a different brand of cable box.

My cable box doesnt recognise my hd tv when i hook up the 2 with an hdmi cable

Check operations manual for HDMI hook up. Some cab/box have to be switched from menu. If you can't use HDMI, use component cables instead, there's not much difference in picture quality. Possible bad HDMI cable
