Question about Sharp Televison & Video
Denotes the absence of vertical sweep. Check all the solder terminals at the vertical output IC for any loose soldering. If this IC do not get its supply voltage, or, if it is faulty, or, any connection tracks to vertical deflection yoke is open, this kind of fault can occur. In this case, as there is horizontal line on the screen, TDA1930 is working. So, troubleshooting should be concentrated to its vertical scan output stage circuits. Check for any bad capacitors too. There will be 5 to 9 electrolytic capacitors will be there, related to vertical scan circuit. Replace all of them once, not by individual. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here.
