Question about Canon PIXMA MP495 InkJet Printer
I have no manual and dont know what the controls mean! Have just installed refilled ink cartridges. It states flashing E then 3 the C button flashes amber. I do not have any technical experience. please help!
E then 3 then 0 means that it cannot determine the page size of the document to be printed.
E then 0 then 3 means there is either a jam in the output tray or the door to the output tray is closed. This is the tray where the paper comes out after printing. Try closing and opening the tray. A sensor could be stuck.

Firstly most printers need to be told when you have re installed cartridges as they think they are still there from the fault. Go to your printer and faxes menu and select your printer and delete any pending print jobs. Next go to add/remove programmes and delete the printer software driver and disconnect printer from both pc and the mains for about minutes. Re install driver and reconnect printer to pc when prompted by driver or when it is fully installed, prefferably in a different usb port than previous and go through the set up as normall. if the same problem occurs, the printer must be faulty and require a repair or replacement.

I have one of these printers and have found the problem, crappy enigineering and inferior parts. Looking at the printer from behind, on the left side (where the motor is located) There are two white gears, located at the bottom and behind a larger black gear. One is of medium size and has a spring. The other is smaller and slides into the medium gear. If you can get these two gears back together and in their proper location, then you're set. But, if you're like me and get frustrated easily, DON'T TRY IT! I broke mine :( A repair will cost as much as a cheap printer, so bite the bullet and hit-up your local rite-aid, they have printers that wont bust the bank. Keep your MP 150, after all the scanner/copier will still work without its attached printer.
