I am not sure what the product is by your description but if you broke the circuit board on any device ... fact is it is probably not soemthing you could fix on your own. If this is a high end product contact the manufacturer and see if they have a replacement board you could put in.

I have two White-Rodgers 1F80-24 thermostats that are about 15 years old. They work fine EXCEPT the two little buttons to raise and lower temperature are no longer working perfectly. I might need to push...

Your thermostat has served you well and has earned its retirement! I could be a number of things from dusty contact to crack in the little curcuit board. In any case, not worth the frustration. A couple things to consider: If you are due for the furnace or boilers annual tune-up, discuss this with the technician. Sometimes they have discontinued units "kicking around" that are perfectly functional and MAYgive you a deal. In addition, (not knowing the complexity of your system heating AND cooling/baseboard or warm air, fuel type etc.) or your mechanical savvy, some t-stats can be quite daunting when faced several wire color combo and function options. This is also another good reason to consult your heating technician. A decent technician will not only encourage you to DIY if its an easy job, but also SHOW you why it isn't...not just babble techtalk at you. As far as the paint line problem, you can loosen the base plate of the t-stat and paint under it, or you can buy plates/rings to cover this at your local big box hardware in the heating aisle. Good luck and stay warm...H99

I am wondering what cork flooring is. I am needing to fix something with my floor and someone told me I needed a new cork flooring. I don't understand.

I am not sure what flooring you have at the moment but sounds to me like someone is trying to sell you something. IF you already have cork flooring then it can be repaired, get another opinion from some other company. cork flooring comes in tiles that are laid down like other tiles with glue, it is recycled cork that has been compressed/glued/heated into flat hard sheets then cut into tile squares kind of like particle board. inexpensive and soft under the feet, good insulter as well. hope this gives you some clarity. always get a second opinion. take care, good luck.

32" TV fell over onto carpeted floor and won't

It's probably a write-off. The circuit board inside has been cracked so that some of the copper traces that connect parts have broken. This commonly happens around the area of the horizontal output transformer, which is heavy. The shock of the fall causes the transformer to bounce and breaks the board. Other areas too may have been damaged because of flexing. And worst, the picture tube can be damaged in a fall, so it either doesn't work at all or shows permanently distorted colors.

It's tough to find anyone willing to repair a set that's fallen. Many circuit board tracks are very narrow and hard to repair. Then it's difficult to know if all the damage has been found and repaired, so even if the set starts working a technician doesn't know if something else won't go wrong. And then there's that bad tube possibility; no technician likes to spend lots of time fixing a broken board only to find the set then needs a new tube. Trust me, this has happened to me several times during my career in TV shops.

Your best bet is to use this as an excuse to buy a new LCD or plasma TV. 40-inch models, a good size match for a 32-inch CRT (tube) model, are reasonably priced.

Maytag neptune error? message

Unplug for 10 min to reboot the curcuit board. This will reset the system. Sometimes selecting numerous cycles or pushing buttons a lot in a short period of time can overwelm the little brain in the curcuit. This action will clear the memory of any unwanted comands in the curcuit.

Intermittent problem, unable to select normal wash cycle/start

restart curcuit board sequence

push start hold down air dry and start until lights blink and machine starts then it should work normal

most dishwashers have an instruction booklet behind the botton panel that is nearest the floor you wll have to remove the panel it has a couple of screws. the booklet should be there unless installer took it.
If you omly replaced the front panel board then you may have to replace the circuit board inside the door. It works like a mother board in a computer. Good luck
