Standard Right Hand Thread. You can always check by the rotation, because rotation always tightens a bolt. Imagine the rotation and a socket and torque wrench on the bolt.

I would think that the appropriate thing to do would be to ask the person/business that renewed the engine.

run fault codes and check immobiliser operation

Possible misfire on the spark plug or coil pack, if left and not repaired they can sometimes damage the ecu's. Reomve the plug leads from the coil pack side, one at a time and start the engine the spsrk from the plug should be strong enough to jump across to earth out, if not try a good quality coil pack. i am driving a fiat palio 1.2 , the break lights on it does not work, what i have done i have check the fuse, it was ok the , check the bulbs they were ok and then change the break switch , still they are not working .
just want to know what could be the problem ?

Hot or cold? 2005? CODES.
OBD plug under dash.

IAC or cold start valve? NOT on a 2005.

fiat punto ,1.2 its a valve free engine so it will not bash the valves ,the bottom pulley mark points at teh top ,you will seea corresponding mark and the cam is top left hand side ,you will see another coresponding mark their for the cam on the ally rocker cover

its a dodgy sensor ---but what one?? i would go for the autochoke one first but i have no idea what one it is ,now ask me about a seat 124 or a seat 1500 ,same as fiat but made here in spain
