### Determine the domain and the range of the

Domain and range are concepts that many students have trouble with, so you are not alone!

Domain is the x values of the relation.
Range is the y values of the relation.

If you have trouble remembering which one is which , like I do, D comes before R, just like x comes before y;)

To determine if a relation is a function, there are several tests that you can use. For every x value, there can be one and only one y value. If there is more than one y value for any x value, it is not a function.

Another test is the vertical line test. If a vertical line only goes through one point on the line, it is a function. If it goes through two points on the line, it is not a function.

As an example, let's look at y = (x-3)^2 + 6.

This parabola is in the form, y=a(x-h)^2 + k, where a indicates a stretch or compression, and whether the parabola opens up or down. If a is positive, it opens up, and the y value of the vertex represents a minimum. If a is negative, it opens down, and the y value of the vertex is a maximum. The values h and k are the x and y values of the vertex.

In this case, a is one, so the parabola opens up, with a minimum value of 6.''

Now back to the domain and range.

Since we can use any value for x in the equation, for the domain, x is an element of real numbers, sometimes written (xER).

For the range, y can only be greater than or equal to the minimum. So the range is y is an element of all real numbers, such that y is greater or equal to 6, sometimes written (yER'y>=6). Sorry I couldn't find the greater than or equal to character;)

Good luck.

### Why does ac go to 80 degrees when set at 76

Sounds like you need another opinion from another AC man. If you are in an apartment complex, it has been my experience most apartment techs have limited knowledge of what to check. Try this
1. With the unit on, go to you air filter and check for proper air flow. If you are using pleated filters, stop. Use what is called 30 day throwaway filters. Pleated filters block 35 % of the air flow and can cause evaporators to freeze over. Ace hardware still stocks the ones with the blue mesh with cardboard edges. I have used the same filters for over 2 years. All I do is use my vacuum cleaner and clean the dust bunnies collected every 30 days.
2. Perform an sight inspection of your duct system. I have had several customers whose duct have fallen off and they were air conditioning the attic space and/or crawl space.
3. Have your AC man determine your superheat and subcooling value for your airconditioning unit. If your AC man does not know what these are then he really isn't an AC man. A typical value for most superheat (SH) and subcool (SC) is 12 to 15 degrees. These values are typically normal values but can change due to design criteria established among manufactures. If your AC man does not know what these are or can not measure these you need to get someone that know how to obtain them. These values are typical value for a normally charged equipment and does not vary from refrigerant to refrigerant.
Hope this helps.

### Post winxp install no dvd/cd found

Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe). Start > Run and type: REGEDIT and press enter

We need to locate the upper filter and lower filter in the Registry. Open the folder and its sub route through the heives... as below

To Locate the Upper filter we need to travel through the below given Heives.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Click on this Value and select Edit from menu and Press Delete to delete the values inside.
Delete also the Lower Filter in the same folder of the Registry... follow the steps to delete the value.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Click on this Value and select Edit from menu and Press Delete to delete the values inside.

Quit Registry Editor.NOTE: After you remove the Upperfilters value and the Lowerfilters value,

If you find that your system is malfunctioning at any cost you may need to do a re-installation of the CD\Drive Drivers.

If the CD\DVD is missing from the Device Manager and if you are not able to see the Status of this device, you may restart the PnP (Plug and Play) Services and you will have the drive details in the Device Manager.

Hope this resolves your issue. Good Luck

### How do you fix the clock display

No or dim display? You can replace the clock at about \$160.00, or Check for a burned capacitor on the clock board, The likely culprit is labeled C3 on the board, its a 35 Volt 68 mF capacitor that needs to be replaced with a high temp (105 degree C) capacitor . Any capacitor that shows signs of discoloration and or leakage should be replaced with the same value but high temp. component. You can use regular capacitors of near equal values in a pinch but find the good ones of the correct values for a long term fix.

### T30 always comes up with record-ready display screen

T30 defaults to an opening display screen based on where you were when you last used the device. When leaving from the record folder and record mode, you will always open with the record-ready screen. If you left your T30 while in the music folder playing a music file, you will be returned to that.

This record-ready display screen has a numeric and bar time line. The numeric values of the line are in hrs:min:seconds. This line is also split: the right half of the line indicates the total amount of available recording time, while the left half indicates your time as you record. If you compare the values of the right and left sides of the numeric bar while you are recording, you will see that the right side is diminishing as the left side increases in numeric value. When you complete your recording and save your track, the right side will now indicate the new total time (the amount your screen first displayed LESS the time value of the track just recorded).

When you are playing a music file, if you watch the time display, you will see the numeric information changing in the same way. The left side indicates how may hrs:min:seconds your track has played while the right side indicates the total time value for that file and will be correspondingly decreasing while you play your music file.

So in the short, you don't need to worry much about your display screen unless you open in the wrong folder or you need more recording time than is available. Then it has a message for you.

### Store & Recall Buttons

STO 1 puts the displayed value into memory location 1.

RCL 1 brings the stored value back.

Same for memory locations 2 and 3.

If there's something in memory, M1, M2 M3 will show in the display, clear the memory by storing the value zero.

Note that anything stored into memory location 1, 2 or 3 over writes what was there. Memory values are retained through power off/on.

To add the displayed number to a memory location (instead of replacing the value stored), use 2nd, STO, n

To exchange displayed and stored values, use 2nd, EXC, n

n is 1, 2 or 3
