Its possible the computer is trying to boot from another device, as the computer starts up hit the F12 key, this should bring up boot options, select HDD if it's in the list.
If not hit F2 as it starts and enter the BIOS, look for the boot option and set the HDD as the first boot device, hit F10, save the changes and exit.
The computer will restart and hopefully boot into the operating system

this can mean that your syste, is not detecting your hard drive. A reinstall of the operating system may be necessary, or a replacement hard drive is needed. Try to restart the notebook and tap F12 a few times as the system restarts until you reach the One Time Boot Menu, then if the hard drive islisted, select it and press Enter and see how it goes.
