First, separate motor and pump. Remove back cover of motor. Drive shaft of motor either has a slot on end for a large screwdriver or a flat on it for a wrench.(usually 7/16) Hold shaft and unscrew impeller.

The impeller is threaded onto the motor shaft, take the back cover off and use a wrench to hold the motor shaft, then turn the impeller counter clockwise to remove.

OFF TO THE LEFT FOR REMOVAL OF A IMPELLER BUT SOME MAY HAVE A SCREW IN THE CENTER IT IS A LEFT HAND THREAD SO IT OFF TO THE RIGHT.. BRING IT TO YOUR LOCAL POOL PUMP MOTOR REPAIR GUY TO HAVE IT DONE RIGHT
