What can I do if my Lenovo yoga's screen has gone blank. I have had it less than two weeks. What can I do?

1.Is it new? It may be the best to take it back to the shop under warranty.
2. Try to connect an external monitor to see if you get any image. If you you get image on external monitor, most probably the screen cable is faulty or even the screen itself.

Lenovo z570 black screen at start up

You may like to check the Lenovo (IBM) page on screen diagnostics:

I searched the internet on "no display on laptop" which gave some informative results, but as only you know all the details of what is wrong only you can decide what is relevant.
I found the following interesting, but there are many more:

Does your computer beep more than usual when you turn it on ? Tis may be a sign that components are loose or have come out, or there is some fault which must be looked up.

To find out if it's your screen, connect an external monitor via the VGA port on the side of your computer Press the function button to select the external screen, or both, and if you get a display on the external monitor it's your screen or components associated with it, for example the 'inverter' or the CCFL if your computer has one. It may be that the display has become disconnected from the computer (there is often a ribbon connector). It may even be the graphics/video hardware on your mainboard. If it's the screen, you can replace it: detailed instructions for a similar model are here
http://www.insidemylaptop.com/how-to-replace-lcd-screen-on-lenovo-ideapad-z575-laptop/

If this is case you need to disassemble your computer and find out what is wrong with screen. The manuals for your computer can be found here
http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z570

But you rea;;y need to find out what is wrong before you can even attempt to fix it. If you are not able/knowledgable enough to dissemble your computer, DON'T.

I have a notebook of LENOVO Y580.I found problem that the notebook cannot connect two additional monitors at same time. the one connection to ASUS PA248Q with HDMI port, the second connection to PRINCETON...

The graphics card can only support two monitors at a time. One being the notebooks built-in display and the other being either the HDMI or VGA ports. You will have to attempt to disable the notebooks built-in display. Good luck.

Ideapad turns on but doesnt boot up

One problem that will cause this, and that is easy to check, is to look at the USB ports on the side of the laptop, and make sure they are not damaged or shorted out (with no pins touching each other). This will cause Lenovo laptops to fail the bootup.

Hi, I have a Lenovo Z470 laptop and I want to connect it to my Philips Smart TV (40PFL5507H/12), I thought it will be straight forward connection, but the TV is showing no video signal receive, please

HDMI is the best method as VGA is low density video. You may have to set up the laptop to send data output to the HDMI/VGA port (Out to the TV). Your manual should spell out the procedures to change from Computer Internal Video to Video OUT.

How to turn on

What?............Oh, okay.............I was going to watch this Disney movie though..........

JUST KIDDING!

http://www.asus.com/ph/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_VivoBook_X202E/

1) Laptop OFF, monitor OFF, attach a VGA monitor to the VGA port, on the laptop.
(Right side, all the way to the back)

Or you can use the HDMI port, and use an HDTV.
The HDMI port is on the Left side.

Turn the monitor/TV on.
Turn the laptop on.
Does a display show on the external monitor/TV?
No?

Hold the Fn key down, and tap once on the F8 key.
The F8 key is the Display Toggle-Over key.
Go to what you are using as an external monitor. VGA monitor, or HDTV. Hold the Fn key down, and tap the F8 key until you get what you want.

Have a display on the external Monitor/TV?
Problem is NOT the graphics chipset.
Problem is the Video Cable, or LCD/Touch screen.

Post back in a Comment, as to the results of the external monitor test.

Regards,
joecoolvette
F8 key is display toggle over

I have lenovo ideapad y510 which i wnna connect to samsung LED tv 6 series with HDMI input. So basically i want a cable which connects laptop video output to HDMI input in TV.

Hi er_gauravpra,

I see you want to use an HDMI connection for your Video from your Lenovo Y510.

I have checked information about the Y510 and it does not have the Technology of HDMI on the Y510 system of Lenovo, Y510 system only have the VGA port where in you can use a VGA cable to get video output to an External Monitor.

Regarding the issue about HDMI I have not seen any Converters yet that can be bought from anywhere to convert VGA to HDMI and I believe that will not be possible since VGA is a lower type of video output than what an HDMI can.

I do apologize but the Y510 systems does not have the HDMI technology to on it.

I hope this clarifies everything about your Query.

Have a nice day

My Lenovo Ideapad Y560 have blank screen display but can hear the HD moving and usual boot-up procedure but no display. Can you give suggestions on how to fix it?

Try connecting an external monitor to the VGA port on the left hand side towards the rear. Then turn it on. If you have a picture then you will need to look for the key that swaps the video output on the laptop. in the event that this doesn't work it sounds as though the Graphics module in you unit is broken. This will means taking the unit to a repair facility. I hope the problem is the easy one. Best of luck!
