SOURCE: cant transfer music files from computer (through

Hi,

I discovered exactly the same problem. I get an errormessage saying that there are no music-files inside the folder.

I discovered, that creating a ne folder from the Windows-Explorer (not copying, but creating!) I can afterwards store mp3-files inside that are displayed correctly. Even if I ove from the PC-side those mp3-files on the SD-card that are supposed to be invisible, they are also correctly displayed. I assume there is a bug in the camera-software. I have asked Vtech to provide a solution. We will see.

Want to copy files

With Windows OS you can open two Explorer windows, side-by-side, (The one you can direct to the source folder, the other to the destination drive or folder.) press Ctrl/A to select all files in the "source" window, then right-click/drag the files to the "destination" window. When you release the right mouse button, you'll be offered a selection of options: copy, create shortcuts, etc. You can also right-click all the highlighted files, and select "Copy", click within the folder you want to copy to, right-click the folder, click Paste.

Instead of a right-click, you can press the keyboard button on the lower right that looks like a list to open the same Context Menu with the Copy/Paste and other options. Af ter selecting all, you can deselect some files or folders you don't want copied.. hold down the Ctrl key while you select the items you want to remove from the highlighted list.

There are programs that will copy for you; there are batch files you can write that will do the same.

Im trying to copy text from ms word and burn it to dvd with no luck i have downloaded various softwarw programmes but still no good .please help

Once you copy (text, picture etc) from any file, You need to paste it somewhere before you can burn it. Once you copy something, computer holds it on something called a clipboard till you paste it to another document. This new document can be a notepad or another word file. So, once the copy is done, open note pad or an MS office new file and paste it on to that. Save this new file with any name (abc.txt or abc.doc for example). Now you can burn it to a CD or DVD. To burn, open the CD burning software. Start new data project, drag abc.doc or abc.txt file to the window at the bottom. click burn.

I have a sandisk Cruze flash drive. How do i add video files to it?

plug the flash drive in, wait for the computer to read and add it to the list of devices..takes a few moments. It may even pop up asking what do you want to do, in your case you can click on view files. This will open a window which will show you files and folders already on the drive. These flash drives will act just like any other hard drive, you can add folders, delete folders etc. Find the files you want and just copy and paste or if you dont need to ciopy, you can simply drag and drop (which is left click and hold the button down on the file you want to transfer, drag the mouse over to the flash drive folder of your choice and let the button go when the folder highlites.

Set up installation for 5000md xp will not start up

Cut or copy the driver zip file and go up a few levels and paste it on the desktop or in a folder on the desktop or in a folder in my docs and unzip ALL the files to this new folder and run setup. I had same problem. For some reason if you save the file 3-4 or more folder inside a folder inside a folder ect (you know...try to be organized?) it won't run. Whats more if you were to just move the SETUP.exe file and not the other folders (such as DATA) the install would start asking you for files that ARE in the data folder, asking you to point to them. If you did it would act like it couldn't see them...Why? I have no idea....all I know is once i moved EVERYTHING (all the files from the zip)up to the Desktop or a level below it like My docs, C drive etc it ran immediately and saw all files. You can run that SETUP and/or use add printer from control panel > printers and faxes

I have certain text on a CD disk that I would like to edit. Computer tells me when I try, that it is "read only". How do I change mode to "read/write" to permit editing?

CD's are normally "read only", so the edited files cannot be saved back to the same CD.

You need to copy the documents you want to edit to your PC, edit, then save them to the PC. At some point, you may want to create a new CD with the edited files.

Put the CD in the computer, open up "My Computer". Double click on the CD (probably the "D:" drive) and right click on the file you want to edit, and choose "Copy".

Now go to "My Documents" on your computer (you can use the Start button to find it), and open that folder.

Right click again, and choose Paste.

Doubleclick the newly pasted file, and Word will allow you to edit and save it. You might want to use "Save As" instead of "Save" and give it a different name. So, Doc1.doc becomes Doc1a.doc or something similar.

There are other ways to do this - I'm giving you the most basic method.
