Question about Whirlpool GEW9250 Electric Dryer
The dryer won't start. I am assuming the start button is the button on the door but it won't press in and you can open the door by just pulling it gently. It feels like it's not locking properly. Any suggestions please? Thanks

On dryers with the old mechanical timers you can turn the knob in either direction without harming the mechanism. On either type, even electronically controlled models with a problem like you described, there are a lot of possibilities. After confirming you have power to the appliance check the thermal safety fuse located on the heater housing.
