Question about Kenmore 88732 Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

Over filling I just purchased this pre-used washer/dryer. The dryer works good, but the washer keeps overfilling. Regardless of wether or now I put the water lever at small, medium, or large. When i put it on small it loads about half way, it starts to wash, but then it starts collecting MORE water for some reason, this is when it overflows. When i put it on medium or large it overfills right from the start. I dont know waht the problem is; can you help me???

Re: over filling

Pressure switch pipe is either blocked or damaged, the weight of the water pushes air up the pipe to activate the switch to stop the water filling, for some reason its not doing so,

this is a small thin pipe that goes from a point in the machine low down, to a little round flat object (normally) up near the top of the machine inside up near the top

drain the machine and clear out the pipe at the bottom where it joins  the drum or whatever, make sure joints are made good
if i have helped please rate me

My Maytag Washer keeps running water and won't stop.

regardless of machine being on or not???sounds like a faulty water inlet valve youll need to replace the valve..

If the water level just overfills and floods over the top of washer but turns off when the unit is shut off, then it sounds like a bad fill switch.

Re EW1200i : drum keeps filling with water

is it overfilling? if so you have a problem with the pressure side of the system and it would need cleaning out.
