Question about Pioneer SD-P50A5-K 50" Rear Projection Television
It shuts off to standby mode sometimes within an hour sometimes it takes days? any soultions or suggesions?
1) Pull chassis---remove power/convergence PCB==the one with the large heatsink on it. 2) Remove solder from pins of four regulators on heatsink. 3)Clean board/pins w/ toothbrush & alcohol. 4)Re-solder, also solder both Stk's for prevent. 5)Re-assemble

I have the same issue as well...
I can wiggle the transformer and it instantly kicks on.
Uhm.. just wanted to know if anyone has done this first hand and how hard it is to remove that board to get to the bottom to re do the connections.
