SOURCE: Frigidaire front load washer won't drain or spin

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

SOURCE: ATF6000ES front load washer won't spin during regular cycle.

clogged filter will cause this error code. I have the same washer and the filter located inside the rubber boot attached to the pump was full of junk. there was enough room for water to get thru but not enough for full volume. clean it out and it should work. note : its a pain to get the boot back on so be ready and take it slow. this worked for me.

SOURCE: I have a frigidaire affinity front loader washer

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during the spin cycle and the machine will not spin unless the switch is activated. The machine works except advancing to the spin cycle and this signifies that the auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to address the issue.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the electrical connections then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.

Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

When the timer reaches the spin cycle the water does not drain or spin. All other functions are working.

Hello Joe, thank you for your inquiry!

From what you have described your Frigidaire washer will not drain or spin. I would recommend checking on the drain hose to make sure it is not restricted or too long. Also check to make sure your drain hose is not too far down your drain pipe. If the drain hose is in good condition it might be a possible problem with your timer or drain pump. Since it could any one of those underlying issues I would recommend having a professional technician out. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

I have a frigidaire flexcare washer fw233re and when i start the wash cycle the water drains out can you maybe tell me why

Check the drain hose, is it above the water level in the washer, if not it will always drain, there is no valve in the drain and gravity will win.

Why won't frigidaire fwtr445rfw clothes washer drain during spin cycle

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire washer, model# FWTR445RFW, is not draining during the spin cycle. First, please check the drain hose for any kinks or clogs. Next, check your home's drain pipe for any clogs. After you have checked the drain hose and drain pipe, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at the circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully.

-Best Regards-

Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Washer. Clothes are soaking wet at end of cycle.

Suggestion:
WARNING: POWER OFF and UNPLUG WASHER. There are
intentionally ungrounded areas inside machine. Behind the kick panel at the bottom of the front (Two screws on the bottom front of the panel) you will find the Technical Data Sheet for the washer. Follow the instructions for running Diagnostics on page 2. When u get to step 9 the washer will test the spin cycle (give it a minute or so to start). That will at least see if your belt theory is correct. I am NOT a washer tech so I am only telling you what I have done with the same problem. I have not yet repaired it as this is a new problem, but the diags gave me an error code I am seeking info on now. Good luck!

Describe your (ATF6000ES) Front Load Washer Problem it does not spin and its 9 years old

Hi twoofdkind,

Before the Spin Cycle should start, all water must be drained out of the machine. If it does not start, it could likely mean the Drain pump may be clogged. Please follow my below tip on the fix:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER...

If this does not help, the drain pump may be faulty.

Kind Regards

Frigidaire washing machine gets stuck on cycles

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
