Question about Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate for PC
I have so many things which haven't yet been backed up because I am not up on computers. My ex. use to take care of all the computer/smart phone syncing issues. I do have Verizon's backup assistant and again I run into settings issues. It may be fine but I have a lot of sensitive data I can not lose and will not be able to replace. I did use google drive, but my ex left in between the time my previous smart phone croaked and now! Unless I can figure out how to bypass the complete lock up, which translates into shut down, I am afraid I will find I lost something that is gravely important to me! I have attempted to press and hold both power button and volume down rocker switch at the same time. I have also tried to simultaneously hold power button and the center of the volume switch. I have tried charging it with it's original adapter straight to the wall. I have tried hooking it up to the usb on my computer without any change. I have tried to let the battery die completely and plug it in to the wall just long enough to catch a little charge and try to power up. The only thing it will do is I get a solid green light when it is charging, both from the wall or hooked up via usb to the computer! I also tried to remove the sd card and turn it on without any luck and last but not least, I have tried to do all of the procedures in every combination possible. Now, twice I have called Motorola for help and both times their techs told me to try a partition boot? I was exasperated because you have to be able to turn the darn thing on in order to do this procedure, unless I am mistaken. Suddenly, I felt like no one was really listening to me! Motorola also told me that yes, I will loose all the data on the phone memory and unfortunately, just prior to the update, I realized that most of the data had been saved to the phone memory but I do not understand how. The little bit I do know to never save your data to the phone memory! Please, this is very important to me to at the very least, be able to retrieve as much data as possible... I am truly in distress! Thanks for any assistance anyone can give me! -D-
You can pray that the info is on a sim card but don't get your hopes up. You cant do anything it seems. This is why you backup your data - especially before an update.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The more you go in to alter settings and programs in your
DELL, them less likely they will be to honor the warranty. Having said that, one
thing you can try IF you have a restoration disk of any kind, is to try to repair
the boot files and sequence. you can use one of two methods. You may get a handy
utility called "VistaBootPro" that does the job very nicely or follow the link below
to MS and run their bootrec scheme. click this link for more information to how to boot to update
Don't forget to rate the solution

2.5) Delete wgatray.exe from c:\Windows\System32\dllcache.
2.6) Launch RegEdit.
2.7) Browse the following key HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify.
2.8) Delete The Folder "WgaLogon" and all of its component.
2.9 ) Reboot System.
3.0) BE HAPPY NOW.... AND NEVER EVER INSTALL WINDOWS GENUINE ADVANTAGE NOTIFICATION IN WINDOWS UPDATE OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO REPEAT THE DAMN PROCESS AGAIN.
IN ORDER TO THAT FOLLOW THIS
START--> CONTROL PANEL--> AUTOMATIC UPDATES --> CHOOSE THE OPTION """"""""""""Notify me but don't automatically download or install them"""""""""""
When u use this option whenver your system detects any new WINDOWS UPDATE choose the updates which u want to install... DONT INSTALL WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK --3.
