Question about Intel D915GAG Socket 775 Motherboard - 915G Chipset - Onboard Audio, Video, Lan - MicroATX
The probelm is probably your video card. To be able to play 3d games on a computer, it must be equipped with an external video card. According to your description you probably have an "onboard video solution" which is fine for normal use, web browsing pictures etc. But it does not have the required capacity to run 3d applications. My recommentdation to you; get all the information you can about this, the computer hardware industry specifically Video cards can be somewhat overwhelming to a beginner. Basically there are 2 types of Vcards, AGP and PCIE,. You need to find out which kind supports your computer, or else wont fit. Furthermore, you need to be comfortable with installing and uninstalling drivers and be prepared to rescue or even reinstall your operative system(windows) In case things go wrong. All this can be very difficult at first but once you get into it it keeps getting easier and is very rewarding. If you are not willing, or interested at all in any of this you should be beter off buying a gaming console, they are cheaper, easier, and will offer to you an overall better experience.
