Question about Brother XR-65t Mechanical Sewing Machine
It's a simple question...how can she clean the **** thing??? Can I use brake/carb cleaner??? What will wash the **** out of the internal workins w/o screwing it up??? We can't afford a new machine...
Chris I would not use brake cleaner in it unless you want to throw it out LOL ... These new machines have a lot of electronics in them that are going to be very sensitive. I suggest you do not pug it in until you have at the least dried it out. If you are somewhat handy , you can take the machine apart and use an electronic spray cleaner or wipe it out the best you can then wipe all of the affected areas with rubbing alcohol. It will not damage the components and evaporates quickly. Be sure it has dried before plugging it back in! Good luck.

This happened to me too! Make sure your buttonholer isn't pulled down and locked in to where it's making the machine sew backward. That's what happened to me.
