I have exactly the same problem. I have a Mitsubish projector (XD110U/XD110R) and a Sky+ box. I am not too sure about the cables I have, and do I need to purchase any?

Which sky box do you have and which model projector. are you trying to use SCART or YUV or what.
Please describe the connector available on the sky box and the projector. if you dont know or they are not labeled nicely please refer to the chart in the link below and let me know what is on both boxes. I will do my best to reply with EXACTLY what cable you need and a good place to order it, US and UK.
Also let me know what distance you need to run.

this cable will give you a picture but you will need to connect audio SEPARATELY.
I hope your SKY Box has a second audio output, I am just stabbing in the dark because I dont know the model number of your sky box.

I have connecting TV link with coax cable from my sky box to my LG 50PH660V 50-inch Widescreen 1080p TV But I can not get the sky to come on my TV. as channel 68 is DTV and on my remote it says TV/RAD

If I understand your problem the Y splitter is a passive splitter which mean that the centre pins are connected via capacitors this will degrade the picture on one or both outlets, the Sky box should be connected via a scart or HDMI connection

Could you please tell me if my LC-32GA5E tv can work with sky HD.The manual tells about switching to hd mode, but there seems to be no where to connect hd to the set.The tv is about 5 years old. thanks...

This is an HD ready TV and can definitely be used with Sky HD, but ONLY if the Sky box is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. It will not work if connected with a scart cable.

So you need 2 things. Firstly, you need to buy an HDMI cable (see picture) if you haven't already got one. Secondly you need to locate the HDMI sockets on your TV and Sky box. The sockets will have the HDMI logo (see picture) next to them.

Please rate my solution if you find this helpful. Thanks.330cd4e.jpg

I would advise connecting your sky box to the TV with a scart cable or better still a HDMI cable & not the RF cable. The reasons for this sre
1.. You should get a much better quality of picture from Sky
2.. You will not need to tune in the TV just go to the AV or HDMI input source to obtain the sky channels.

Sharp Notevision XR-1S projector

First off, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. SHORT ANSWER: you need to run a second separate line for audio from the DVD Recorder to the projector, you will need this cable: . http://www.amazon.com/Stereo-Audio-Cables-Oxygen-Free-25FT/dp/B000UZC35K/ref=pd_bbs_sr_9?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1224067234&sr=8-9 . LONG ANSWER:-with clarification request-- I need to know which Sharp Notevision XR-1S you have, a google search returned two devices of the same model number, one being a very expensive DLP and the other being fairly affordable. The cheaper of the two is about the price of an iPod where the DLP version is the price of a Laptop. It would seem you cant connect your "Sky Magic Eye" device directly to the projector as that would require the projector to have what's called an 'RF Demodulator' which it doesn't. That is why someone told you to get the DVD recorder, as it contains a tuner.  You got the picture from the magic eye, according to your question, so your on the right track.  What I need to know to completely answer your question is what is the connection from your dvd recorder to the projector. I am going to guess that you have not hooked up the audio output f the recorder to the audio input of the projector. SKY is only available in the UK and not the USA where I live and we do not have anything as wonderfully easy as SCART connectors, I wish we did, my life would be easier. When you don't use SCART you need to run a SECOND line for audio. The audio line is typically two RCA connectors on either end of a cable 1 meter to 10 meters in length. The connectors are white and red in color. If the Amazon.com link didnt work just search for "rca cable" and get the cheapest one that is the correct length.  CHEERS.

Connecting the LE46A556P LCD TV to the HTZ310R Home Cinema System

You need to be connecting the TV and the Sky Plus to the HT box via optical (toslink) for full surround sound. As you only have one optical port on the HT, I would suggest buying a Optical selector such as this one. I would also suggest looking on avforums more more help. I use it for most of my questions if ever i need any help.

Hope this helps!

Souud delay on tv /amp

Instead of connecting each device (sky&dvd rec.) to the TV separately, I would simply hook up the sky to dvd recorder (connect the sky output and dvd recorder input), and then connect the dvd recorder output (must be called "play out") to one of the available recorder inputs (which could be a dvr, an empty tape input, etc)of your amp. However, you'll still have to establish a feedback between your dvd recorder and your amp. Therefore, if the dvd rec. supports it, you'll have to hook up the rec.out, which is on your amp.,to rec.in on your dvd recorder. After all these audio connections, you will only need to make a video connection among the sky, dvd rec., and tv. Get a video cable to hook up the sky video output to your dvd recorder's video input, then do the same thing between the dvd recorder's tv output and tv.
