System preferences - bluetooth
If you don't see the bluetooth icon, your mac does not have a bluetooth card connected (pre-2006 machines or somewhere around there).

Click "Start" and type "wireless assistant" into the search box.
Click the "HP Wireless Assistant" entry in the list of results.
Locate the "Bluetooth" entry.
Click the "Turn On" button in the "Bluetooth" category to enable the Bluetooth antenna in your HP Pavilion.
