1 Answer

Went to get some water for the Bissell Petwash power brush, when I reconnected it, the water is not coming through the house. The vacuum is working, just not the water.

Try this...... take a part the upper half of the machine and look for the heater.take off one of the hoses and plow in it to see if it is clogged it is take a part and clean out .
what happens is it gets clogged with soap and water when it drys out

The flat belt on you machine has an access panel to it from the side of the machine. That belt runs the pump if it is broken or came off the machine won't pump.

Check to make sure both of the red/black circular rubber gaskets on either solution or recovery tank are on the tanks and not stuck down inside the inlet valves on the machine itself.

Make sure there is fluid in both tanks. Without fluid in both tanks the pump loses prime and will not work.

If all that checks out then you are down replacing the pump, but usually when the pump goes out, you will have a short burst of water when you first turn it on and then it stops working.

Hope that helps you out-Good Luck

    hi this is iversh again

the lines that dispense water and solution are probably clogged

Does water squirt out of the hose nozzle, if it does, then check the
heater inside the handle asm. Make sure that where the tubes hook up to
it are not clogged. If water doesn't squirt, check for the seal at the
bottom of the tank, it needs to be on the tank, not in the hole, this
is for the soap bottle also, there is a seal on the bottom of it as
well. The flow indictor cap is leaking air or maybe is too tight. If
you had the top cover off, make sure that the tubes are routed right so
as not to get pinched when the cover is put back on, the smart mix knob
should be in the water setting and that the piston is on the bottom of
the smart mix knob. Pump is bad. Try running a mix of vinegar and water
to see if that unclogs the lines. Is the top cover and the base tight
together in the back, sometimes the top breaks loose and it will raise
up and it can't spray, just re-fasten it down.

if ur still not able to rectify the problem.... i wud recommend u to replace the pump.....

    thank you
    have a nice day
    good luck

Bisseell petwash powerbrush how to get the return dirty water container clean.

This has always been an issue with this make of cleaner. You can rinse it out and then leave the lid off to dry and that eliminates odors from mold and bacteria. IF you really want to clean it you need to get small brushes like a tooth brush etc and scrub it out.

Bissell power steamer brushes will not turn

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

There are a number of reasons why your brush roller is not turning. General maintenance to your vacuum is crucial and will help it work at peak performance.

First things first lets focus on the brush roller. Unplug the vacuum and turn it on its side. Look for any noticeable clumps of debris or hair strands that may be caught in the brush roller. Remove these obstructions, probably best to do so with a scissor if it's hair or long pieces of carpet fibers. After removing the debris try manually rotating the brush roller to uncover other hidden clogs. Another thing to take note of is the condition of the bristles on the roll itself. Are they loose or worn down? These are signs that your brush roller is in need of replacing.

While checking out your brush roll you might as well take a look at your vacuums belt. Your belt should be replaced about every three months. After regular usage, the belt will stretch out, lessening the tension on the brush roller. Lesser tension diminishes the brush roller's turn rate and speed. If the belt feels loose then it certainly is affecting your vacuums suction as well as your brush roll not moving at all.

No steam or water even coming out, its just quiet except brushes moving

David, the brushes on the motor may be burned out and the conduction process has been compromised. In short the motor is bound up and won't turn. This can happen if surface debris collect on parts of the motor. Do not turn it on for long and let the unit get warm as it will eventually break down permanently.
If you need a manual, go the company web site and seek that from customer services.

I have a bissell pro heat 2 it will spray water through hand held pipe system but wouldnt spray from main capet brush area can you help me please

Ours would not spray water either, after messing with it for ages I discovered the round black housing that the tank locks into where the water flows out of the tank was loose. So I held the housing from underneath while seating the tank & it started working. It's very flaky & a lousy design. Good luck.

Is there any reason the water won't come out?

You need to replace the pump belt, that is why the water is not dispensing and you need to replace the brush belt, that is why the brush isn't spinning. Here are the belts you need.

Bad Pump. You pump is where the belt attaches to spin the brushes and also puts water on the floor. Take it to you local Best Buy to be serviced or a local appliance shop which may service it.

You may try the trigger assembly may not be releasing the water , your brushes spin and the soap comes out but no water – it may have come unhooked or broken, also the water line could be plugged, clogged or pinched and not releasing water to the brushes -- you may try the owners manual for the trouble shooting for the item or check the Bissell website listed below or the customer service phone number of 1-800-237-7691 – the website has a list of trouble shooting listed right on the website I you enter the Model number and hit trouble shooting
