SOURCE: all the knobs on my

I have a $1.50 per knob solution: 1. Buy a 1/2 x 5/8 x 1 spacer at Lowe's ($1.50 each - get 5 pieces) 2. Clean knobs, remove back cover of knob and connect broken plastic parts with glue (liquid form). Make sure little metal inside the plastic is on front end. 3. Apply glue (gel form) around plastic then slide the metal spacer over. Add more gel glue to fill up space between plastic and metal. Might want to wait 30minutes then apply more glue if there is still space or gap. That's it! I recommend waiting 24 hours to let glue cure until putting it back on range. Now you can put cap back on but would need to make the whole a little wider using a grinder.I used a small flathead screwdriver and a hammer and just chip off small pieces until metal sleeve would fit. However, I think u can do without the cap if you have strong glue. I have pictures. Feel free to contact me for questions: cbraza@yahoo.com My wife is very happy, saved her a lot of money coz new ones cost as much as buying a new range itself! The knobs are very sturdy right now. Wide says it's actually sturider than when we first got the range.1_25_2013_5_53_38_am.jpg1_25_2013_5_54_22_am.jpg1_25_2013_5_54_47_am.jpg

59-cent LG Oven Knob Solution: Go to Home Depot and buy a thin sheet of metal. I bought a piece that was about 8" x 8" for 59 cents that is bendable, yet strong, and can be cut with scissors. For each knob I cut a piece that was between 3/4" and 1" by between 1 1/4" and 1 1/2".

I formed this cut piece around a pencil in order to shape it into a cylinder. I unscrewed the backing of each knob and slid this "sleeve" around the plastic piece that people say cracks and melts. I screwed the knob backings back on and voila, you now have a tight, secure fitting. Even if the plastic part cracks, it will be contained because it is tightly supported by the "sleeve".

Kenmore gas range when no clicking when turning the oven on

Range: Gas burner won't spark or ignite A surface burner igniter switch and a spark module activate the spark electrode when a burner is turned to the "Lite" position on a gas range's cooktop. If the surface burner switch, spark module or wiring in that circuit fails, the spark electrode won't work, and as a result the gas burner won't light. If those components work but the electrode won't spark, the problem could be that the spark electrode is coated with spilled food of is bent or broken. In addition, the electrode won't spark or ignite the burner properly if the ceramic insulation sleeve below the tip of the electrode is cracked or broken. If the gas burner isn't lighting, these repairs may help.

Replace the spark igniter electrode

1396454293470.jpg The spark igniter electrode-also called the surface burner igniter-is an insulated electrode that provides an ignition spark to light a surface gas burner. It sparks and makes a ticking sound when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the spark ignition electrode if it fails to spark or if the ceramic insulation sleeve is cracked or chipped. How to Replace a Spark Igniter Electrode in a Gas Range Find This Part

Replace the surface spark module

1377098014986.jpg The surface spark module is in the ignition circuit for the gas surface burners. When a surface burner control knob is turned to the "Lite" position, it provides voltage to the spark electrodes on the gas surface burners. If the surface spark module fails to provide the electrodes with voltage, then it should be replaced. Find This Part

Replace the spark igniter switch

1396454315355.jpg The igniter switch is an electrical switch on the stem of the gas surface burner control valve. This switch completes a circuit to the surface burner spark module, causing the burner igniters to spark when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the burner igniter switch if the burners don't spark when you turn the burner control knob to the Lite position or if igniters spark constantly even when the burner knobs are in the Off position.

Knob replacement AEZ72909002 for LG Stove

I'm way too late with an answer here, but I'll add it anyway in case someone finds this page later on. The AEZ72909002 part is not for the LRG30355/LRG30357 series of LG gas ranges, but for the LRG 3095/3097 series. The only explanation I can imagine for LG reversing the knob insertion profile, is to force their LRG30355/30357 customers into expensive repeated replacements.

When you turn the oven on, the ingnitor goes on (I see a glow at the bottom of the oven), but it never lights. Gas just starts to build up in the oven.

Ok
I f this machine is a few years old , go ahead and replace the igniter. They can glow but still not draw enough amps to open gas valve properly ,causing the situation you have. Igniters do wear out and need to be replaced periodically. You can do it yourself. Usually a couple of scews and a plug . PLEASE DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE ATTEMPTING> There's 120 volts down there.

One lower btu burner with does not ignite. All the other burners work perfectly. What can cause this, and how can I rectify the situation?

check to see if area where spark arcs is clean, the spark wil look for a clean metal surface on the burner and if yours is not clean the spark will not generate for ignition due to dirt from a boil over or maybe a soap pad if you use that to clean. also there are sparker modules on inside of button, may be that it has failed.

When I turn on a burner, all the other burners click like they are trying to turn on as well. The clicking is continuous and really annoying! Thanks for your help! Tammie

Anytime you turn on a gas range all burners click for safety reasons. If a knob has been turned by mistake the gas lights to prevent gas from escaping into the room. If you turn the control knob past the LITE position after the burner lights you should be OK and stop the clicking. If the clicking continues regardless you have a defective ignitor switch that must be replaced.

Center burner igniter does not spark.

I had the same issue and it was because the little ceramic starter "button" wasn't either pulled up, or down (I don't remember). The stove is shipped with the piece in the opposite direction it's supposed to be in when operational.
