CECT i9 Phone: GPRS problems...

Hello, I just received a new CECT i9 phone, and while everything within it is good, the internet is not functioning well. I keep on receiving a "GPRS NOT SUBSCRIBED" message on the screen which is getting very annoying right now. I've already put in the GPRS settings in 1001 ways I've read on the internet and yet it won't work. I have a BlackBerry data plan on it and my carrier is T-Mobile. Should I change my data plan? Is it something with the phone?

My settings are as follows:

In Data Account:
-Account name: T-Mobile
-Username and Password are blank
-Auth. type: Secure

In WAP profile:
-Profile name: T-Mobile WAP
-Data Account: T-Mobile
-Connection Type: HTTP
(Proxy address: and Proxy port: 8080)
-Username and Password are blank

I would appreciate it much if someone could give me the solution to this problem.

Call tmobile. they will direct you to an unsupported devices deptmnt. They will then do an over the air update with the settings so you wont have to go step by step and it will work. i had it done about 3days ago. i had the number directly to them but i lost it :-(

Let take the pain out of configuring your Sciphone/CECT handset to enable GPRS, WAP, MMS and Webmail. You could be surfing the web and sending/receiving multimedia messages within 24 hour.
They supply setting to Austrailia too.

Cant receive pictures or send

No, but you will need a working GPRS connection to receive MMS messages. This is the same like you need for internet services. Check if GPRS is available. If you need settings for it, find them here.

Unable to get internet on CECTi9 phone

I have managed to solve the problem myself. I used a site called i9 forum and they have a FAQ section on the internet, which gave a link to a nokia site who then sent the settings to my phone.
