SOURCE: CMT-BX1 won't play CD's - "No Disc"

If they're clean (i.e. not scratched up or dirty) store-bought CDs (burnt CDs can be iffy in some players), then yes you should return it.

SOURCE: WONT PLAY CD

Most likely a dirty lens or an optical assembly problem.

If its a dirty lens, the issue can be easily rectified by using a CD lens cleaner, available from nearly any electrical store.

If cleaning with the lens cleaner did not help, then it could be a major issue. Try unplugging the system from the power source for at least 15 minutes and replug and see first. If it works, great! If not...

If the lens has become opaque or scratched, or there is a problem with the assembly, then the only solution is to take it in for servicing. Mind you, this can be a pretty expensive repair, so you'll have to decide between getting it repaired or purchasing a brand new unit altogether...Shop around for repair costs and then decide which route to take..

I have an Aiwa stereo cd player that only plays certain cd's but not the new ones, it is model cs-na222

Some Aiwa players will not play burned, non-closed or expanded limit cds (CD of 700MB or overburned to 750MB).

When you say new cds do you mean purchased pressed cds or ones you created?

The cds won't play. Once you press play, the cd

Sounds like you have a powre supply issue. It could also be a display issue but if the display is working OK before you hit play I wouldn't think so. When you hit play does the display dim? If it does then the power supply is the problem. If not then the control board has a problem. Let me know how you make out.

I cant play cds on my wharfedale pcd 6200 usb

I think you need to press and hold the Play button (marked PLAY/PAUSE) to switch between CD playback and the USB port (you can store mp3 files on a USB stick and play them directly) on the front of the device.

Try inserting a disc, switching the unit to CD mode, press and hold Play until the display changes and the CD spins up...

Might just work?!

Mechanic took unit out of dash, and top off of unit. Ejected CD bu moving the eject mechanism. Replaced top and unit.
Works and plays cds. Cost $25.00 And i tipped the mechanic $10.00 for his knowledge.
