There could be a foreign object or debris touching the fan blades, or bad bearings in the fan motor. Open it up and take a look. See nothing, then grab the fan and try turning and shake it.

When i turn my heater on (and also the ac) it makes a loud humming noise. as i turn it higher the noise gets louder. I have a 2001 chevy trailblazer.

It is possible that a stray leaf or piece of debris is stuck in the blower fan blades. This is more likely if the noise began suddenly. You will have to access the blower and remove it to inspect the blades. If their isn't an obvious debris problem, the blower fan bearing may be wearing out and getting noisy; although this noise would slowly get worse and worse every day.

sounds like you may have a ceased fan get someone to look for you, but an electrical hum that is louder than normal usually means that the fan or a moving part is trying to turn ot move but can't so make's like a hum noise so seek a service agent

There is a noise that my heater makes when the heat is on. The heat still works, but as you turn it up higher , the noise gets louder. What could be causing this?

Probably some leaves or debris in fan cage. remove fan and clean. or it could be a bad fan motor bearing remove and replace.

The freezer sounds louder than normal, where the icemaker is. Turned icemake off but still louder. The icemaker, water and freezer still seem to be working fine.

There are only two other parts in the freezer that can make noisei if your icemaker is off. The evaporator fan motor makes noise when ice builds up around it, and the blades start hitting the ice. It also makes noise when the bearings start to fail on the motor. Rarely, the evaporator will make noise when the freon is pumped through it, we will get all kinds of strange noises. This is not a problem usually as long as your termperatures are fine. To check these items out, you will have to remove the icemaker and the back inside panel in the freezer. With it off, you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from. If it is a bad evaporator fan motor, replace it. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Tempature flactuate most of the time. I have been told that main board is faulty

Check the CPU fan RPMS if they fluctuate over a wide range or the fan makes a louder then normal noise then the fan is probably going bad.
