LAST RESORT only, put a very small drop of super glue on a toothpick and insert in hole until it touches the broken pin. Let dry and remove the broken pin, again A VERY VERY VERY SMALL DROP of glue.

If you go to the following web address there is a video instruction on taking an ipod apart. It's listed as How to change the battery on your ipod and is the fourth video down.

The gentelman hosting the video got his tools with an iPod battery changing kit. However you can purchase the tools alone for under three dollars. I found some on www.ifixit.com they are listed under iPod tools.

How to change the auxiliary input on an ion tailgater

Yo. This same thing happened to me. It sounds rudimentary, but I just superglued toothpicks onto the broken ends (obviously being sure not to get glue on the jack itself) and after waiting for them to dry, I just yanked them out by the toothpick. Worked like a charm. Good luck!

I have no radio siegnel from my ipod nano in my bose sound dock

The ipod headphone cord acts as an antenna, and with the design of the nano you can't plug them into the ipod and the docking station at the same time. You can buy an audio adapter cable - a 3.5mm to 3.5mm one; just plug one end into your ipod and the other end into the aux port on the back of your dock. You can then use the radio, as the cable will act as the antenna. I got one on ebay - the cable has plugs on each end which are the same size as your ipod headphone plug. You can also get them in variety stores or electrical stores.

The battery on my car ent dead and now my AIWA CDC-MP32 keeps displaying "please unplug auxillary plugs"

Hi,

An auxiliary input allows you to select an external source and play it through the cd player's amplifier. It's often used for iPods and MP-3 players. Typically you just need an inexpensive patch cable that connects the headphone output from your portable player to the input on the CD player. After that you can select "AUX" as another source like CD or Tuner, and whatever's playing on the portable unit will be heard through the speakers.
Auxiliary inputs can be on the front or the rear of the CD player. Front aux inputs are typically 3.5mm stereo plugs, similar to a small headphone jack. Rear aux inputs can be RCA jacks or a 3.5mm jack. If you have a CD player with a rear aux input, a cable needs to be connected at the time of installation. Then the other end can be routed to whatever location in the vehicle you want to keep your portable player while you're using it with the CD player.
Front aux jacks are more convenient for quick connecting/disconnecting the portable player, but they tend to wear out over time.

Let us know if you have somethin more to ask else accept the suggestion.
Thank You for contacting Fixya

No sound through AUX out

the aux output is for an mp3 player or ipod. Does the HU have preamp outputs? The RCAs from the amp should go into them. If it doesn't you might have to get a high to low level input converter

Cannot connect iPod to Bose Lifestyle V20 System

On the side of the V20 control box (with all the inputs/outputs on the back), there is a small jack for an input directly from the headphone output from your Ipod - so all you need is a male/male ended cord (like the one used in vehicles with AUX inputs) and plug in - SIMPLE!

Go to Radio Shack.  You're going to need an IPod dock that has video playback capability, an av cable with the three av outputs.  Then you will need a mini jack cable that plugs into the video and another mini jack stereo cable for the sound.  You made need a coupler as well.
They only make home cables for Ipod systems.  The other wires will convert the home cables for portable DVD use.
