Every cell phone I've seen uses some sort of connector for the flex cables. There are three main types. One of these terminates with a flat plate over the board. Under this plate is a two-row pocket connector. Just lift the plate to pull the connector apart.
In the second type, the cable slides into a connector shell and has a locking collar (generally a different color from the shell, either dark brown or black). Carefully slide the collar about 1 mm away from the shell along the cable - it has a lock on each end, and a stop on each end to keep the collar retained in the shell. Try to open it evenly; you don't want to break the hooks off of the collar by tilting it too far out of line. The cable slips right out with no force.
The third type has a latching plate on top of the shell. It's hinged on one side, usually away from where the cable slides in underneath it. Unsnap it on the side away from the hinge. Be very careful not to break the hinge pins. Again, the cable slips right out.
When you assemble the latter two connections, be sure the cable is square and all the way in before locking the connector. Give it a gentle tug to verify that it is locked.
Note: don't touch the contacts on the cable, and handle the circuit boards only by the edges. If there are metal shielding boxes or covers on the board, it's a good idea to touch these when you pick up the board. This will minimize the chance that you will zap the circuitry with static electricity.

How do I remove motor housing on CST2000 Black & Decker weed eater?

If there are no visible screws holding the cover together on the machine, then the parts are snapped into place together, which means much prying, bad talk, aggravation and possible broken parts is next. The manufacturer considers these machines disposable, but they do sell a limited number of repair parts for them. Here is the machine's parts breakdown diagram with parts available list.

No longer shreds. Probably overloaded. Looking

The punching holes/not shredding problem is caused by a collar that encapsulates the cutter shaft ends. Vibration causes the collar to fall off and the shafts to spread apart. The fix is to pull the paper bin out, remove the 5 screws holding the top assy., and pull off the top. You'll see the collar and the screws will be somewhere in the paper. Replace the collar and tighten all the screws at each end of the shredder assy.

I don't need a manual - I need a replacement handle

if your refering to the batt handle then its a obsolete item with no replacement part number. your part # is 243215-00 and your best bet is to sell it or put lots of ducktape or epoxy or keep checking ebay

I was unable to get that ring off also... I was able to pull plastic side apart far enough to pull motor out and "rewire" it. Even fit back in when I was done... just barely. and was very gentle...

I do not know how to get the ring apart, though.

Kenmore elite top loadwasher spins and pumps but will not agitate

Hello, your problem is not the motor, it is the drum shaft collar or what the tub rests on. It is on the top of the shaft. You need to remove the shell, the plastic collar that rests on top of the drum, the agitator, then the nut that holds the drum down, and then pull the drum out, and then you will see the collar. I know it is hard to get to so I would call a pro for this job unless you think you can do it. The part is cheep it is the labor that will cost you. Thank you
