I have had sad service with Campbell Hausfeld. You can go to their website, type in the model number, then ask for recalls on that model. My guess is there is no recall.

If not, you might consider buying a replacement compressor motor to mount on that tank.. The tank is too good to throw away. Try Northerntools.com.

Motor cuts off before reaching 125 psi

Im guessing this is a recip (piston Compressor) Sounds like your pressure switch may have adjusted itself by vibration. Take the cover off the pressure switch, there should be 1 or 2 screws on the top, one adjusts the pressure, the other adjusts the differential pressure (There may just be one) turn the pressure screw in the direction of the +, you need to do trial and error on this, turn it 1/4 of a turn, then switch on, see what the pressure gets to, then switch off, drain some air off, then adjust as necessary until you get your required pressure. Hope that helps

Model wl660800aj wont build any pressure hardly 10min 10psi took unit apart check valve appears to work ok valve sheets not broken but cylinder has light scouring and slight play no kind of seal apparent...

The piston should be tight in the cylinder and there should be no play between them. There should also be a ring at the top of the piston to seal it in the cylinder. You need a piston/cylinder assembly, part number WL211000SJ to fix your problem. They are a common failure item on oilless compressors and you can only buy them as an assembly, the parts are not available seperately. The part is available on www.ereplacementparts.com but shop around the web, compressor parts aren't cheap and prices and shipping varies.

I have a Husqcarna 345 and I just need to know what the oil to gas ratio should be. The maunual was loaned and lost.

Your manual can be found here:
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – for use with IPL
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

Your manual says for each gallon of premium fuel add 2½ ounces of premium 2 cycle oil. 30 minutes spent in front of the TV while reading your manual is time well spent.
Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 8oz/2gal - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (Stihl 2.6oz/1gal)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few months. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

I have a Husky model Y6010 air compressor.

First remove the valve using probably about a 1/2" wrench but make sure there is no pressure in the tank before you do so. check the cone and seal by loosening the valve by hand and check for debris. If there is no debris then the problem is either the pressure relief valve or weak pressure regulator but may also be a bad piston seal if it is a direct drive unit.

Metal pieces in piston chamber

SOUNDS LIKE THE VALVES IN YOUR HEAD ARE NOT CLOSING ALL THE WAY OR HAVE FALLEN APART. THEY ARE MOST LIKELY ARE REED VALVES, THIN STRIPS OF METAL THAT OPEN AND CLOSE WHEN THE PISTON MOVES UP AND DOWN. MAKE SURE THEY ARE ALL THERE AND ARE OPENING AND CLOSING ALL THE WAY. WHEN THE PISTON GOES DOWN IT CLOSES ONE SET AND OPENS THE OTHER AND VISE-VERSA. WHEN YOU REMOVE THE HEAD MAKE SURE YOU MARK IT SO YOU CAN PUT IT BACK LIKE YOU FOUND IT - NOT TURNED AROUND OR FLIPPED OVER. SERIOUSLY MARK IT !
HOPE THIS HELPS. JODY
