Blinking cancel light, that won't cancel out, and won't allow other functions to be started.

While the door is closed, try pressing and holding the cancel button for about 10 seconds to see if it will clear.

I'm getting a message that my overflow ink tank is full. How do I fix this?

You can reset the waste ink counter:

1) Close the print head cover, and turn off the printer. While pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press the Power button. (Do not release the buttons. The LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (Do not release the Power button.)

3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button three times, and then release the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.) During initialization, the LED blinks in green.

4) When the LED stops blinking and lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button the 4 times. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.)

5) Press the Power button. The LED lights in green, and the
selected function is performed. (When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically.)

6) Power off then back on and test.

However, you also need to blot the ink out of the waste ink absorber. The "tank" is a pair (usually) of plastic squares with a small piece of absorbant pad in the square on the sides of the carriage. For best results you need to partially disassemble the printer. Some find just drying the pads on a bunch of towels until it stops transferring ink is sufficient. (Also dry excess ink from around the plastic.) Otherwise, rinse the pads until the water runs clear. Then let the pads dry (blotting helps) completely. Without the cleaning step, you can get ink smearing on the back of the page as well as inside the printer.

I hope this helps.

(the counter is set to a number of pages that is the expected lifetime of the printer under normal use. Other failures may come up soon.)

My kenmore dishwasher, model 15822, just stopped working. The quick rinse light is blinking. The only other buttons that work are the pots & pans light which blinks when pushed, and the cancel button...

These are known to develop sticky switch contact pads. They stick in the contacted position and stifle the panel. Sometimes heat can be applied with a hair dryer to release them and make the unit function again. This is more than likely a temporary fix. New panels are available for about $165 to $200.
