ok for starters you need a switch and give me the model number and I will find a breakdown and see what the grinding noise might be, but it sounds like you also need a gearbox.

Starting with the variable speed the switch part # is 2607200457 and list for 47.58, the gearbox part # is 2606200930 and lists for 75.90 and lastly the motor part # is 2607022865 and lists for 75.90, the grinding could be the motor bearing going out or the magnets cracked, if you want to tackle this I suggest going to Boschtools.com and on the left side towards the bottom type in your model number so you can look at a breakdown of this tool. Before I started spending that kind of money I would think about possibly replacing it. If I have helped you would you please rate my response accordingly and Thank you.

Bosch cordless drill not working.

First The model is pretty new. you need to register your tool on line. this takes you from a one year warranty to a three year warranty. They will give you a pro-vantage number. with that said it sounds like a trigger switch. Yhe trigger switch is the brain of your tool. not only does it do your variable speed but it also controlls the brake and your fuel gauge. Because of the cost I highly recomend taking it to your closes Bosch service center.

Variable speed not working

The variable speed function is controlled by the switch. If you only have off and full on, the only fix is to replace the switch (Bosch Part Number 2607202013).

Sounds as though you are on the right track. I would take it apart, and see if the trigger could have some dirt or other material causing it to stick, or is it worn to the point that it needs to be replaced. Good luck!

I have a Bosch 18v Brute Litheon cordless hammer drill and impact. One of the batteries works just fine. The other one will not take a charge. The set is about 6 months old. Apparently it's been this...

you have a bad battery (defective) take the unit back to where you bought it and hopefully they will understand and exchange it out for you. If the dealer won't help you can contat the Bosch company, they typically will do an exchange even if you dont' have the receipt, (a courtesy exchange). You may have to pay to ship the defective battery to them. If you can prove when your purchased the system you will have less difficulty convincing them to give you a new battery. good luck with this, my experience with Bosch has been that they are a customer friendly company and should be willing to help you,as I would hope your dealer would

Just keep it on high, vari-speed on an impact driver is not very useful unless working with delicate materials.

I need to remove the chuck on my Bosch 33618 Brute cordless drill. How do I do it?

You must remove the inner chuck retaining bolt first, it is a torx screw and is left hand thread. once you have this screw out, get yourself a 1/2" allen key (the L kind). Chuck the short end in the chuck to grip it, use a mallet to hit on the long end (this will unthread the chuck). The spindle thread is regular Right hand thread. It may take a few good hits to knock it loose but it will come off.
