SOURCE: Dryer heats but doesn't dry

Sounds like it is only heating on "low". The problem is most likely a thermal limit switch/thermostat which is bad.

SOURCE: Vents are clear, getting hot, but clothes will NOT

ok,, you said the vents are clear, did you check the outsite to make sure it was blowing out good,, take the vent off and start it check at the back of the unit to make sure it is blowing good and hard, if its not you have a blower issue,, if it is try running it with the vent off and see if it helps, if it does the it is in the vent, if it doesnt help, you have a issue inside the unit and i would get someone to look at it, just becouse it is a gas unit, dont risk any gas leaks if you are not sure

The dryer is getting hot and the vents are clear but it takes 3 times at more dry for the half of white clothes load to dry. Any other suggestions.

If you checked both the inside and outside for clogs and did not find any anything then possibly it could be that your washer is nit spinning the clothes out enough. The other possibility is that some of the older dryers have two heating coils and one of them may have burned out. I am not sure of the model # or the brand of yours but these are some of the possibilities.

My hot point Aquarius 1200 washer dryer WD62 won't dry my clothes. What program do I use to dry my clothes. Fed up with having dripping wet clothes come out.

It sounds like you have a failed moisture sensor. But first be sure all the vents are clear and open. If you have the white flex have it removed, it plugs up quickly. Use a flexible metal vent tubing.

Frigidaire fex831fs2 stackable dryer takes too long to dry and leaves clothes damp

Good Afternoon Famties4,

I understand that the dryer portion of your laundry center, model#FEX831FS2, takes too long to dry, even after making sure the vents are clear. First, I suggest checking the exhaust duct, making sure it is at least 4 inches in diameter and made of rigid or flexible metal. Secondly, make sure the duct has no more than two 90 degree bends and must not exceed length listed in the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. Lastly, make sure your dryer is connected to a 240 volt circuit. Drying time will be 20% longer than drying on a 240 volt circuit. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dryer status has changed successfully.

-Best Regards-

You have some blockage between lint trap and where the unit vents outside.

Cleaned vents, dryer gets very hot, shuts off w/o drying clothes

Sounds like a faulty operating thermostat. Only way is to test on a electric griddle that you can set the temperature to 150 deg and measure with a ohm meter.
