SOURCE: can I transfer a pattern from brother 4000d machine to usb

Welcome to Fix Ya!
Are you trying to transfer a built-in pattern from your machine to a USB flash drive? I'm not sure if built-in designs can be transferred in their original form. You might try editing the design a bit, save it to a memory space, then save it to the memory stick. If you have a manual, it should describe how to move designs from your embroidery machine to your computer, and vice versa.
If you are other readers have time to rate my answer, you'll help me become a better expert. If you can give me more specific information about what happens when you try to upload a design from your machine, and whether you have a manual feel free to leave a comment and I'll check back with you.   Cheers, Ginny

Never mind..I figured it out. Once you get to the number screen, you have to hold down the Start/Stop button while selecting the numbers. I did it 3 times and it worked! Icons are perfect now...Thanks!!!

SOURCE: Feeder doesn't work on Brother PC 8200/8500 sewing machine

Look for a mechanical switch that engages the lower drive mechanism.

SOURCE: brother embroidery machine broken

make sure the bobbin thread is wound and installed correctly
remove tangled thread and clean lint out from under feed plate
clean and remove shuttle to clean out area with lint brush
inspect bobbin for burs and scratches...make sure when reinstalling shuttle and bobbin that it rotates freely
hope this helps

How do I Lower the pressure foot for sewing after changing from embroidery on my brother pc- 8500?

Would a manual help?

Brother PC 8500 User Manual

Are the feed dogs in the raised position? Is it a regular stitch presser foot or a darning foot? A darning foot is shorter in height so the fabric can be maneuvered without use of the feed dogs. Just some ideas. Could also be an embroidery setting that has not been deactivated.

How do i do a screen calibration on a PC-8500 sewing/embroidery machine?

C. POSITION OF TOUCH PANEL

STANDARD

The deviation of the liquid crystal display and touch panel should be within 1 mm when the touch

panel is pressed.

ADJUSTMENT

1. Turn on the power switch while holding down the start/stop button, backtack button, and

NP button simultaneously.

2. While holding down the start button, press the + positions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the screen in

order. If the buzzer sounds once when 5 is pressed, the position is okay. If the buzzer

sounds several times, the position is erroneous; therefore, adjust again. (When pressing

the screen, use a pencil (or match) with a round tip.)

3. Turn on the power again, and confirm that the screen display and touch panel positions
match.

Position of Touch Panel.

It's been awhile, but I think you go into the test mode then hit one of the hard keys (start, threader, reverse). I know there is a backdoor for this.
On newer Brothers you touch the screen and hold while powering on, but I'm not sure yours does it that way.

The feeder dose not feed

there is a switch on the back of most machines behind the feed dogs that allow you to drop the feet for embroidery, you have to switch it back to raise the feed dogs back up
