We have the 4 in 1 convertible Munire Essex Crib Model 7100 from June 2009. We are trying to figure out how to lower the mattess as our daughter is tall enough to now stand in the crib and could fall out.
Take it back!!! We just converted our crib (which worked fine as a toddler bed) into the full sized adult bed. The frame only fits a mattress. We purchased a set and when completely assembled, it was DANGEROUSLY high. We removed the box spring and the mattress now fits fine. Now we are stuck with a box spring we paid for and cannot use.
The slats that get drilled in to support the underside of the mattress seemed slightly short, but we assembled it anyway. After one night of a 27lb. 3yr old sleeping on it, one of the slats broke. I laid on the bed to read her a story and CRACK! I am an average sized woman (around 145 lbs) so it's not like there was an obscene amount of weight on the bed. No one jumped on it either.
Now we have part of the mattress sagging through the middle- no doubt ruining the mattress as well. Just tried to send an email to the company- shocker- it came back as "user unknown".
