SOURCE: I wish to uninstall My Start toolbar...........

To disable all unwanted start up items in vista, please follow the mentioned steps-

1. Click on the Vista start icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
windows_start_logo.gif 2. Type MSCONFIG in the search box and then either press enter on your keyboard or double-click on the MSCONFIG program that appears in the search results.
vista_system_configuration.gif

Or, if you're already logged into Vista as an administrator, you may see a box asking you if you would like to continue.
admin_user_account_control.gif
4. Once you have successfully passed through Microsoft's User Account Control roadblock, Vista will launch Microsoft's System Configuration Utility. Click on the Startup tab.
vista_msconfig.gif
4. This takes you to a page with a list of "startup items." Startup items are programs that are automatically loaded every time you turn on your computer. Some startup programs are absolutely necessary, others are simply a waste of RAM.

Please uncheck the ones that you don't want.

2- To change home page in Internet Explorer, please follow below mentioned steps-

SOURCE: can't uninstall K9, I never installed or purchased

Because this is a parental control software package for restricting internet access by children, etc., we can't offer instructions on how to uninstall the protection.
If you are the legitimate owner and administrator of the computer I recommend you consult the K-9 support resource available here to correct the situation.
I apologize for being a bit vague, but we don't want to help circumvent legitimate protections.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
